Why Breaking Up Your Content And Making It Easy to Scan Is Important

Let me ask you something. How much content is thrown at you on any given day? It’s a lot, isn’t it? We’re bombarded by articles, social media posts, emails, podcasts, videos etc. We come across a lot more content than we could possibly consume any given day. And chances are that a lot of it is good stuff.

As a result, we’ve all gotten pretty good at scanning and then picking and choosing what we actually want to read, watch, or listen to. And that’s why it is important to break up your content and make it easy for your readers to scan through it.

If you can’t show them at a glance what the post is about, chances are pretty good that they’ll move on to something else. Here are a couple of different things you can do to break up your post and make sure it’s easy to scan.

Use Headlines and Sub-Heads

Take a look at this post. Do you see how I’m breaking the different elements of making a post easy to scan down into subheadings? You can do the same with your blog post. Think of the outline of your post. Each point in your outline could be a subheading. Start with those and then fill in the content.

Or if you prefer, start with the content and then go back and add the sub headings. Create the content and work in the subheadings in whichever way works best for you. The only important thing is that they are in there before you hit publish.

Keep Your Paragraphs Short

Reading online is a lot different than reading something on paper. Books, newspapers and magazines can get away with long paragraphs. Online it’s a different story. Text is harder to read on digital devices and our attention span keeps shrinking.

One of the most effective things you can do to keep your readers reading is to keep your paragraphs and sentences short. Don’t make it much longer than three or four lines.

Use Lists And Bold Important Key Terms

Next you want to go through your content and see if there’s anything you can present in the form of a list.

? Use a list instead of several related sentences.

? Use a list to share examples.

? A list is a great way to break things up and grab your reader’s attention.

? Lists can be as long or short as you need them to be.

And let’s not forget about other formatting options. Bold important key terms, italicize them, or underline them for emphasis. All of these formatting options make it much quicker and easier to scan a piece of text and figure out what it’s about without having to read every single word.

Pull Them In With Graphics

Last but not least, let’s talk about graphics. A picture is one of the best ways to convey within seconds what your blog post is about and generate interest. Just scroll through your Facebook feed and look at what’s getting your attention. Or how about browsing through Pinterest? Images hook you and grab you in. They are also a great way to break up longer sections of text. Make sure you use them to their fullest advantage.

How Long Should Your Blog Posts Be?

Every few months we get some new advice from a blogging guru saying that our blog posts need to be longer, or shorter, or that they should be broken up into 10 pages of bite-sized chunks… it can make you crazy. Let’s talk about this. How long should your blog posts really be?

It would be great if there was a magic number that guaranteed best results, wouldn’t it? But that’s like asking someone to tell you how long your conversations with other people should be. Sometimes it’s nothing more than a few words or sentences; sometimes you have a nice long talk. It all depends on how much you have to say to each other, doesn’t it?

The same approach works well with your blog posts. Sometimes you’re sharing just a quick tip or a recipe for example. In that case something around 200 to 300 words will do just fine. Add a pretty picture and call it good.

Other times you want to go into a little more depth. You want to cover different aspects of a topic, share some examples and give your readers as much information as you can. In those cases make it as long as you need to make it. Long posts are great. They help establish your authority and if the content is great, they are often shared on social media. Plus long posts give the search engines a lot of text to sift through and give you more chances to rank for long tail keywords.

The best advice is to mix longer and shorter blog posts. It will make your blog seem more natural and organic. Don’t force yourself to reach a certain magic word count if you don’t have that much to say on a topic. Keep it short and to the point. Your readers will thank you.

If on the other hand you have a lot to share in a different post, go for it. Break the longer content up into small paragraphs and help your readers stay on track with subheadings and bullet points. Make it easy to scan longer posts so your readers can get an idea of what the content is about before they commit to reading it all.

And if you’re finding yourself writing a few thousand words, consider breaking it up into a series of blog posts instead. It will help both you and your readers from getting overwhelmed with one long post. Link from one part of the series to the next to make it easy for your blog readers to follow along.

Above all, enjoy the process of writing and pay attention to what your readers prefer. If your short posts tend to do better, consider keeping your posts short and to the point. If you’re getting a lot more engagement and social media shares on longer posts, combine a few of the shorter blog post ideas into a longer one. And whatever you do, don’t get hung up on a number of words.

On The Market For Gold? What Needs To Be Known First

Often people feel that gold is a safe investment. In fact, experts will advise you to make gold investments when the economy is unstable. If you would like additional information on this market, continue below for some great advice.

When you sell gold, get multiple estimates of its value. There are quite a few stores selling jewelry or that buy it, and they sometimes make more money on the gold than you make on it. Therefore, it is wise to get several offers to ensure the best price.

Do not dabble in the gold market until you are familiar with pricing of precious metals. The prices of precious metals fluctuates daily, so it’s best to know the price of the day. You may be required to spend more on melt values if you are working with fractional pieces. You might pay more for something that is 0.25 ounces versus something that is 1 ounce.

Look at the spot price of gold before selling. That is going to help you figure out whether you are being offered a good deal. Most dealers are honest and stick close to market value, but a minority try to rip desperate people off by low-balling their offers.

Whenever you’re looking at selling scrap jewelry or gold it is best to explore many different companies to know the offers are legitimate. The current value of gold may be one price, but that certainly doesn’t mean every buyer is willing to offer it. Try to focus on stores that are not located in a mall, as their overhead may not be as high, which means they might have the ability to give you a better return on your gold.

Though purchasing gold is thrilling, don’t go around telling everyone about it. You can’t be sure who’s listening or who is trustworthy. Do not tell others about your investment, and keep it locked up either in a home safe or at a bank. This keeps your gold hidden and secure, as it is a very valuable investment you want to protect.

A lot of times the backs of the earrings are gold. Sometimes rings are only partially gold, and sometimes necklaces just have gold clasps. They don’t weigh too much so you may want to sell them all together. This is various gold pieces in one quantity and it can help you earn more money.

You can still invest in gold without physically owning any. It is possible to purchase stocks of gold mining companies, shares in a gold ETF or a mutual fund whose focus is gold. If you buy real gold bars or coins, consider safe storage of your pieces.

Gold should be separated by karat weight before sale. Some vendors may try to weigh all of your items at one time and pay you for the lowest karat. You will end up losing money. Have everything organized to maximize the amount of money you get.

It’s quite simple to position yourself well in the gold market as long as you educate yourself adequately before you start investing. Given your new insight on gold investing, nothing should stand in your way. Use what you’ve learned here to make the best deals possible.

What You Need To Know To Cash In On Your Gold

Gold is a staple of savvy investors. Do you wish to learn more about gold investing so that your investments have a stronger hold on them? There are many decisions you must make, from buying gold stocks to purchasing gold bullion. Keep reading for some valuable tips about investing in gold.

The market price of gold fluctuates daily, and sometimes even more often than that. You ought to know the latest number prior to trying to sell. If you choose to go ahead with the sale, separate different karat items and have them appraised individually. You should not sell jewelry as gold scraps if its worth is higher because of the brand or design.

Before buying or selling gold, be sure you are aware of how metals are priced. Silver, gold and platinum prices vary from day to day, so spot check a price on the day you plan to do business. You should be ready to pay a higher percentage for fractional pieces like half ounces and quarter ounces over the melt prices.

Research a gold buyer before selling your gold. Read online reviews, check with the BBB, and see how the dealers resolve complaints. When you get bids from multiple buyers, you may be able to get top value for the gold.

Think about using the Internet to sell gold. Gold trading doesn’t necessarily have to happen at an establishment with walls. You can find a lot of websites to sell gold. You will receive a kit that will allow you to mail your gold items off. As soon as your items are verified, you receive an appropriate payment.

When you first check out gold jewelry, you may be in for a bit of sticker shock and decide to buy gold-plated jewelry, instead. You can acquire gold jewelry from a number of sources at a reasonable price. Buy cheaper gold jewelry online or at a local pawn shop.

When purchasing gold, check to see if the dealer offers a return policy. It’s almost impossible to determine the value of your gold jewelry just by looking at it. Because this isn’t rare, it’s crucial that you have the ability to return the jewelry for a refund if it’s necessary.

Understand that gold dealers are interested in all gold items. That could be broken pieces of jewelry, tableware, home decor, or anything else you have around. An item need not be made purely of gold. It could be plated gold or it could be that just a portion of the item is made of gold. You will still stand to make a bit of profit.

Sell gold to buyers that are state licensed to buy gold. There’s still a chance of getting a bad deal, but chances are your buyer will be more than reputable. Many establishments purchase gold, so there is no need to sell yours to the first buyer you deal with.

Prior to reviewing this piece, you may not have realized all that goes into buying gold. After reading this article, you should be able to make an informed decision. Follow this advice to begin making money through gold investment.

How To Encourage Social Sharing Of Your Blog Posts

We live in a social world where much of our news comes from sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To grow your readership and make sure your blog posts get the attention they deserve, you need to encourage your current readers to share what you’ve written on their favorite social media sites. What those sites are will largely depend on the niche your in. Find out where your audience likes to hang out and then focus on getting them to share on those social media outlets to attract more likeminded readers.

Start With Quality Content

Of course it all starts with quality content that your readers want to read and share. No-one is going to spread a crappy post on social media. Start by writing the best blog posts you can and do some research into what your audience wants and needs.

In other words, serve your market well and they will in turn share what you’re writing with their friends and acquaintances.

Make It Pretty

Next it’s time to pretty up your post. Break up your content into small bite-sized chunks so it’s easy to read. Add some subheadings and formatting to make it easy to scan through the content. And don’t forget to add a pretty image that captures the essence of your post.

Step away from your desk and then come back and look at it with fresh eyes. Is the blog post visually appealing? Does it grab your attention? If not, go back to the drawing board and see what you can do to improve it.

Make It Easy To Share

When your goal is to get people to share your blog post on social media, you want to make it as easy as possible to share. We talked about what social media sites your audience favors earlier. Make sure you have one click buttons to share the blog post available for all those sites. If you are running your blog using WordPress you should be able to find a plugin to help you do this.

Ask For The Social Media Share

Buttons are great, but sometimes it takes a little extra push to get your readers to take action. Don’t be afraid to ask for the social media share. Close your articles and blog posts with a little sentence or two that asks them to share on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest etc. if they enjoyed the post. And don’t forget to let them know how much you appreciate it when they share the love.

5 Simple Steps to Losing Weight

If you are carrying around a few (I use that term loosely) extra pounds like most of us are, you all know all the reasons why we should take the weight off. It will reduce stress on our heart, reducing the chance of heart disease, cancer, possibility of diabetes; feel better, look more attractive, etc.

There are 101 reasons why, but it can be a real pain to finally get that weight off. You push really hard, make a little progress, get side tracked, and bam you are heavier then you started.

It’s maddening. Enough with that hassle, I have put together 5 simple steps to actually losing weight and keeping it off. These steps can be applied to anything, but we are focusing on weight loss here.

1. Know What You Want
2. Know Where You Are
3. Track Your Results
4. Make Course Corrections
5. Being held Accountable

Now all your extra weight will effortlessly melt off. Yeah right! A simple list of 5 items is not going to do it, so let me explain the intricacies of the 5 items and where the hang up normally occurs when applied to losing weight.

1. Know What You Want

This one is dead simple. Most people that want to lose weight have an idea of how many pounds they would like to lose or how they would like their body to look.

I think we can safely say if your body started looking the way you wanted it, you would know, even if you didn’t have it completely mapped out and detailed.

2. Know Where You Are

This is the big trip up. It is almost always overlooked and is the number one reason for the up and down Yo Yo effect we experience with losing weight. We are unhappy with how our body feels and how it looks and it is painful to zoom in and get an accurate picture of where we are. Unfortunately, we have to know where we are, to be able to accurately judge the results we are getting.

You are on a trip to San Diego, California. You would like to start your trip from Phoenix, Arizona, but you really don’t know where you are. No problem. You get an Arizona/California map and find that a simple 6 hours trip west on interstate 8 will get you to San Diego.

6 hours later, you have no clue where you are and it is definitely not warm San Diego. You feel defeated and you want to give up! Do you blame the car? The stupid maps? San Diego? Yourself?

Now what if I told you, you were actually in New Your City, not Phoenix, Arizona. A 6 hour car ride west from New York City will never get you to San Diego.

If you took the time to accurately find out where you were, you would have been able to choose the appropriate means to get to San Diego and have an expectation as to how long it would take.

This is the same with weight loss and our personal physical condition. In our minds, we think we are starting in a different physical condition then we really are. When the results don’t follow the illusion in your mind, we get upset.

3. Track Your Results

This is conceptually simple. If we have no clue as to WHAT we are doing, how do we know what is working? It might be a simple to do, but is also simple not to do. In the end, most people never track their results.

4. Make Course Corrections

We love to do this one. We have it hands down. It is like step 1 of knowing what you want. We try the new food diet, the super sit up machine, and the cardio hip hop power energy yoga fat burner class.

We might be great at switching it up, but without knowing where we are starting from and a history of tracked results, we have no clue as to what we should change or even which direction we should go.

5. Being held Accountable

No, not accountability! That is an evil word. I don’t want someone to know what I am doing, or more importantly what I am not doing.

So, why do we resist accountability, your secret weapon to weight loss? Because it works! If you know someone is going to be watching, you would follow through or at least feel very uncomfortable not following through.

Accountability when used wisely is the ultimate turbo booster to your weight loss. Since you are going to be accountable anyway, you might as well get something out of it.

Using accountability up front, you can achieve the body of your dreams. If you let your body hold you accountable, it will throw on fat in places you don’t want it to be.

The biggest obstacle to weight loss is not taking any action. It doesn’t matter how good the plan is, it is worthless if you don’t follow it. So what do I do now?

First and foremost get Accountable.

Forward this article to someone you respect and care about and tell them I want to be accountable to finally taking off my extra pounds. When they agree to support you, start working through Steps 1 – 5.

Tips To Help You Make Money With Gold

If you are a serious investor, you must be sure to diversify your investment portfolio. When it comes to trading commodities, you can’t do better than gold. If you are planing for your retirement or simply want to generate some investment profits, this piece is for you.

The cost of gold may put you off. You can still buy gold jewelry without spending too much at the jewelry store. Pawn shops and online sites have hundreds of gold pieces for sale.

If you’d like to leap into the world of gold investing without having to pony up a large amount of money at the start, buying scrap gold may be the right tactic for you. Just keep buying a little every time you get paid, over a year or two you will accumulate quite a little pile. Just make sure you have a safe place to store your little stockpile until it is time to upgrade.

Always check the daily spot price before you buy gold. This price changes every day. You can locate it on several different websites. When you do buy, avoid more than an 8% markup. Some sellers try charging more, but that’s overcharging, which is generally unethical.

Enter the market carefully. There are bad companies in any market, but this market is known for having many. They want to take your money and take advantage of you. Because of this, you need to be extra cautious and really research.

You can use a magnet to test precious metal inexpensively. Precious metals like gold are not going to be attracted to a magnet. Sometimes it’s the clasp that is gold, while the rest is only gold-plated. Magnets will let you tell the difference.

Talk to someone at any gold party to determine how they decide a piece’s karats. Sometimes there is a stamp. Other times, there is no way of knowing. The simplest test is the acid test, so if a rep is using this method, he may be a novice to the market.

Sometimes an item will have solid gold backing; although, the jewelry is not solid gold. Necklace clasps and ring bands are frequently real gold too. You can often sell these smaller pieces together to get more money. This is various gold pieces in one quantity and it can help you earn more money.

If you want to sell your gold, you should divide it in different lots in function of the karat weight. When you get into the weighing process during the sale, the vendor may try and trick you by weighing everything together at the lowest karat weight. This is a scam that will cost you money. Instead go in with the piles pre-separated so that you’ll get the most for your gold.

When dealing with a gold dealer, fully read every form that’s placed in front of you. This business has its hands in a great deal of money. Know fully just what you are signing. If you do not agree with the term, go to another dealer. You have to make sure you financially protect yourself.

Buying and selling gold will be simpler with this general knowledge on the subject. Improve your portfolio or make yourself some money by using these tips. You can trade gold more confidently after learning this information.

Engage Your Readers And Encourage Interaction

Blogging can feel like a very one-sided conversation sometimes. You’re sitting there, typing away, and sharing content with your readers. But you don’t hear anything back. They read and respond with silence. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way.

Blogs were designed to facilitate engagement and communications. There’s a reason you can leave comments and all it takes is a little encouragement to get your own readers to do that on your blog. Combine that with a little social media interaction and there’s no reason you can’t turn this into a fully engaged conversation that will help you grow a loyal base of fans.

Because let’s face it, while it’s nice for our ego to get lots of comments and interactions, when you’re blogging for a living what really counts is making enough money to pay your bills at the end of the month. And for that to happen you need a loyal audience that not only knows, likes, and trusts you but is also comfortable spending money with you or your sponsors. And for that to happen you need an engaged audience.

Interaction helps too because with each email your readers send you, with each comment they post, and each social media post they write you learn a little more about your target audience and how you can best serve them. And that right there is the key to becoming a profitable blogger. Know your market, serve your market, and present them with offers to help them reach their goals or fill their need.

We know it’s important, but how do we get the ball rolling and encourage our audience, our readers to interact with us bloggers? We do it by asking them questions, by asking them for feedback and by encouraging them to share their options – right from our blog posts. Let me give you an example. Let’s say you’re writing a post about getting your baby to sleep through the night. Within the post, ask your readers how old their kids are, or what their own experiences are with their infants. Ask them to share if they are struggling with getting enough sleep right now because baby wakes them up every few hours. Encourage them to share their stories and tell them exactly where and how to do it – by leaving a comment below.

Now the next step is crucial. As soon as you see that first comment or two pop up, reply to them and keep the conversation going. This will do two things for you. Not only will you have a great conversation with the reader that commented (and a chance to form a deeper relationship), seeing you reply also shows other readers that you care and really want to hear from them. And that’s what’s going to encourage more and more of your loyal readers to comment.

The same goes for social media engagement. When you post a link to your latest blog post, ask your friends and followers to like, share, and comment. Then let them know how much you appreciate it when they do. Of course you can get the conversation going there too by asking a question related to your blog post on Facebook for example. It’s a great way to share another link to your blog post and get the conversation going at the same time.

Give these tips a try and see if you can’t get your readers to engage and interact with you. It’s well worth the effort.

Brand Yourself NOT the Opportunity

I’ve been online now for over 15 years. I have seen many good and bad things online. I bought many “Guru” Products that never really panned out for me. Funny I was looking through my browser favourites the other day. I tend to keep a few hundred and i found an old file so I imported it.

MANY of them so called “Experts” were bloody jokes, sites now gone, not active in the niche anymore, still pushing the same 2001 bullshit.

What I also found was that many of the companies that were around have been shut down, classified scams, or just disappeared.

So when I talk to people about adding to their income streams and they are Not Interested because they are “All IN” on this ONE System, i do worry for them. Then I ask them for their Website URL so I can see what they are doing, and guess what they share with me?

productname/username

They are NOT Even Branding themselves. When I ask them for their own websites not their program they are pushing, they say that is their website.

Let me share some wisdom with you.

productname/username is NOT YOUR WEBSITE. You have no control over it, It is an Affiliate Link.

You can call yourself what ever you want, but at the end of the day, it is an Affiliate Link for a product you do not own, on a website you do not own.

So when I show them my site, http://ift.tt/1a0OmZJ they tell me they don’t have time to do all that. I didn’t do that in a day. I bought my domain back in 2007 and it’s an ever growing change over the years.

How many opportunities have failed since 2007? How many times have you been told, you’re not all in since 2007, or your a wussy and things like that.

Imagine if you had your own website, and you wrote about your opportunity on your own website that you control. Imagine the Traffic and the List you COULD have built up as people were interested in what you had to say and offer.

No Matter what you do, you MUST Brand YOU. People don’t buy the product they buy the person. They want to enjoy the success of the person, they want to do what that person is doing. Posting links and blasting people all over social media is NOT a long term business.

Let me share a starting point for you.

Invest in yourself. Your own Domain Name, Your own Self Hosted WordPress on there, Your Own Autoresponder. YES these cost money but starting out RIGHT and building your business right from the start means the money you invest in yourself will be paid back time and time again with the Branding and Opportunities that will come your way.

So you spend a year building Business 1. The FTC get involved and without notice they get shut down. ALL that money you sent, all the signups you got, they were all in the back office, and now they are GONE, you have NOTHING. Do you think you will recover as fast? Probably NOT.

Your Own Investment in yourself. The Business gets shut down by the FTC, now what happens? Well you still have your Website, you still have your Autoresponder. Now do you think you will recover fast? Probably Yes.

However with just ONE Business your income needs to be rebuilt back up again. BUT with your own Website, Your Own Autoresponder, you can easily pitch your new venture, your multiple ventures to your list, who have come to know you and will respond better to you. Having your own website is not just about you selling to people. It’s about you sharing your journey, helping people, guiding them and connecting with them.

Your Success online is about you being open to always improving, always learning, always taking chances, always having a belief in yourself.

It starts with YOU, it starts with Personal Branding.

Increase Your Gold Expertise By Using This Advice

While many people have invested in gold over the centuries, today’s market is available to anyone with dream and a dollar. The following article will give you some tips for investing in gold. Keep reading for what you need to know.

Stick with a reputable buyer when selling your gold. You can check out their reputation by contacting the BBB and checking online reviews. Good customer service and fair market prices are good indicators of reputable buyers. This can help you to be protected when dealing with gold.

Before buying or selling gold, be sure you are aware of how metals are priced. The prices for precious metals go up and down from one day to the next. Therefore you must find the price on the exact day before you agree to do business with someone. You may have to pay higher prices, though, for pieces that have a small fractional measurement.

Think about selling gold on the web. You no longer need to buy and sell gold at a physical location. There are dozens of reputable websites where you can buy and sell gold. The online business will provide you with a special kit that you can use to send your gold pieces. If all is in working order, they’ll then pay you at their going rate.

If the gold price is not to your liking, perhaps going with gold-filled or gold-plated jewelry is something to consider. You can still buy gold jewelry without spending a ton at a jewelry store. You can usually find more affordable gold jewelry online, or if you visit pawnshops.

If you are thinking about selling some of your gold jewelry, know what the going market price for gold is. This way you will know if a dealer is offering you the proper amount for your items. The majority of dealers will offer you market value for your gold, but some know that sellers just want to convert their items into cash quickly, and they take advantage of the buyers.

You should think about scrap metal if you want to invest in gold without hitting the markets. This can be done over time, maybe some each day so that you can get some valuable gold in about a year. Keep it inside a safe location until you get enough to cash in.

Only buy gold jewelry from a seller if they have a return policy It’s not uncommon for many pieces to not be the receiver’s taste or the wrong size. If you have the receipt, they can easily trade in the piece for something more to their liking.

Use GoldMoney to buy gold. It’s akin to opening up a bank account but with gold instead. You make an account, bank your money, and then you receive gold at the price you chose for your account. Your gold sits in a vault until you decide what you wish to do with it next.

Gold has really changed people’s lives over time. The poor economy in recent years has only boosted this trend. Hopefully, you’ve found these tips useful and can now start delving into your own gold investing.

What You Need To Know When You Are Dealing With Gold

Investors should put some of their investments in commodities. Gold tends to be the top commodity available. Read this article to find out how to invest in gold for retirement or for short-term profits.

Save your money to buy higher quality gold and avoid gold-filled and gold-plated pieces. You can acquire gold jewelry from a number of sources at a reasonable price. You are able to get gold cheaply in pawn shops or on the Internet.

Check out current market values before you ever sell any jewelry. This will help you set a fair price when you sell or buy. Most dealers are honest and stick close to market value, but a minority try to rip desperate people off by low-balling their offers.

If you wish to enter the gold market but don’t have tons of capital, try buying scrap. This can be done over time, maybe some each day so that you can get some valuable gold in about a year. Ensure that the gold is safely stored and secured at all times.

Only buy gold jewelry from a seller if they have a return policy You can’t be sure when jewelry is liked by the other person or if it even fits them. In those cases, you should return the jewelry for a refund.

When selling your gold, it is necessary to determine if you wish to sell something as jewelry or simply to get its melt value. Most buyers will offer you just the melt value for your gold. Don’t get discouraged if you are looking to sell jewelry, as buyers are still out there.

When you plan to buy gold, make sure you look at the spot price. This information is available on a number of websites. When going to buy the jewelry, you should not have to pay higher than 8% markup over the spot price. Knowing the value of your gold will keep you from getting ripped off.

If you plan to mail your jewelry, be sure that you find out how much the return postage will cost if the price offered you is too low. Even if you do not pay for shipping the gold initially, return shipping is an entirely different matter. It’s best to be prepared so you are not surprised by return shipping charges.

Consider giving GoldMoney a try for gold purchases. It’s like opening a bank account which trades in gold. You have started an account, and you’ve bought gold at a particular price. The gold physically sits in a bank vault where you’re able to portion it, cash it, or in certain circumstances, redeem it for one kilo gold bullion bars.

Know what you actually have in your possession. Not all that looks as if it’s real gold is as valuable as the real thing. Some jewelry is a composite of a number of different metals. This can lower the price. This applies to gold plated items as well. If you don’t know exactly what you have, consider an appraisal.

After reading this article, you should know more about gold than you did before. Build a strong portfolio and wait for the right moment to sell your gold. You can trade gold more confidently after learning this information.

Get Your Blog Readers On Your List So You Can Get Them Back To Your Blog

How many times do you find yourself browsing the web, hopping from one site to the next and actually finding some pretty cool blogs? It happens to me all the time and I have every intention of going back to some of those blogs to read more. Sometimes I even remember to bookmark them. But the chances of me ever finding my way back there or digging through my list of hundreds of browser bookmarks are slim to none. And the vast majority of people that stumble across your blog are the same way. That’s not a very effective way to grow a loyal readership.

That’s why it is crucial to get those readers on your email list. Once you do that you can bring them back over and over again. You can send out a quick little email inviting them to read your latest blog post. But it doesn’t stop there.

You can also share your social media posts and profiles with your list and grow your reach with nothing more than an email that invites them to interact with you on your Facebook Page for examples.

And with each email you sent, your readers get to know you a little better. Ideally that means they’ll also like and most importantly trust you more. Once your readers know, like, and trust you, they’ll gladly take you up on product recommendations you make to them.

A lot of bloggers ask about monetizing their posts. Frankly the best answer is to get your readers on your list, build that relationship and then make offers via email. You don’t have to be spammy about it or sound like a used car salesman. Instead, share some helpful information, give them some tips and then invite them to learn more or implement it with the product you’re recommending.

Let’s recap why it’s so crucial to your blogging success that you should focus on building an email list first. It allows you to bring readers back to your blog whenever you’re publishing a new post. Having a list also allows you to grow your social media reach by inviting readers to connect with you on said social media properties. Last but not least, staying in touch regularly via email gives you a chance to build a relationship with your audience. It’s at that point that it makes sense to make offers for products and services and make some money from your blog posts and emails.

I hope this inspires you to give building a list for your blog a try.

How To Write Attention Grabbing Blog Titles

The most important part of your blog post is your title. If you don’t grab your reader’s’ attention with the title and get them to actually read the post, nothing you put inside the post matters. It doesn’t matter how great and helpful your content is. IT doesn’t matter what offers or affiliate links you have in your post and it doesn’t matter who sponsored you to write it. If you can’t get them to read it, the blog post doesn’t do you much good.

And when it comes to getting free search engine traffic, your title is important as well. It is the most important factor when it comes to getting your content to rank. Yes, there are plenty of other factors, but a good title with the right keywords in it will do more good than anything else you do.

How do you go about writing a good attention grabbing blog post title then? I suggest you start with a working title for your post and craft your content. Then come back and work on the finalized headline, implementing as many of the tips below as you can.

Make it Interesting and Tell The Truth

You want to write an attention grabbing headline. And with that comes the temptation to hype it up and stretch the truth just a little bit. While that may get you some extra clicks, there’s a trade-off. You’ll lose credibility if you’re exaggerating or telling little white lies. You see a lot of those headlines on social media. You click through and end up disappointed because the post doesn’t fulfill what the title promised.

Instead, make it interesting without all the hype and stick to the truth. A great way to do that is to think about what’s in it for your readers.

Keep It Short and Engaging

Shorter titles tend to do better both with click-throughs on your blog and social media. Keep it short and to the point. And think about engagement straight from the title of your post. Ask your readers a question. Make a statement that makes them think. Put numbers in your titles to get them thinking about what’s in the content (i.e. My 5 Best Tips To …)

Keep an eye out for titles that catch your attention. Copy and paste them into a swipe file and see how you can tweak them for your own needs and market.

Work In Your Keywords

Last but not least, don’t forget to work your keywords into the title. I tend to do this last. Always write for your readers first and then work in what you need to do to make sure the search engines recognize what your content is about.

Ranking well for something your readers don’t want to read or don’t want to click on doesn’t do you much good. Focus on your audience and then optimize for search as an afterthought and you’ll do well.

Implement these tips and get a few blog posts out there. Pay attention to what’s working and what isn’t. Each market, each blog, and each readership is different. Use these tips as guidelines to help you find your own style that resonates well with your audience and gets you the results you want.

7 Surefire Ways To Shed 7 Pounds In 14 Days

The search for ways to speed up your weight loss is over. With these seven tips, you can be seven pounds lighter in the next two weeks. Be ready to make some changes, but your thinner self will thank you.

Make water your best friend

While it should come as no surprise that water is your best weapon in weight loss, some still haven’t caught on. By increasing your water consumption to six to eight glasses a day, you will help you body flush out toxins that are impeding the weight that you want to lose.

Water helps to speed digestion as well as many other processes in your body. And if your body is running more smoothly, then you can burn more calories along the way.

A new appetizer

If you’re looking to cut back on the foods that you’re eating, here’s a trick that works for anyone. Start your lunches and dinners off with a small cup of soup. Of course, the soup shouldn’t be cream based; a broth will work very well.

The warm soup will help to make your stomach feel fuller so that you eat less at the meal that follows. This is also a good trick if you are going out to eat. Have that bowl of soup before you go to curb your temptation for larger portions.

Take away the salt

A lot of the extra weight people carry is due to a large intake of salt. Salt can be found in many of the things that we consider healthy—frozen lunches, canned soups, and condiments.

Take some time over the next two weeks to look at the labels of the things that you eat to see how much salt (as sodium) are in the foods that you have been eating. Avoiding prepackaged foods is the best way to remove the salt from your diet.

Take away the sugars

While we don’t want to admit it, sugar is keeping us overweight and unhappy. And sugar isn’t just a candy bar or a milkshake, it’s also in the white breads and pastas that we love.

But if you want to lose weight, it’s time to find better ways of eating. This can include switching to brown rice and whole wheat bread. And of course, limiting your sugary snacks to once in a great while.

Get moving

When you’re trying to lose weight, you need to start exercising. If you haven’t exercised before, you’re in luck. Studies have shown that you can walk just a few times a week and burn the calories that you want to burn.

Thirty minutes a day is the best way to lose seven pounds in two weeks, but if you don’t have that much time, try to split it up over the course of the day—say ten minutes three times a day, or just try to fit in three good thirty minute walks a week.

Slow down

One of the main things that trigger overeating is not taking time for your self. When you’re trying to lose weight, it’s essential that you set aside a little time each day for you and you alone. By giving yourself some quiet time, you’ll be able to slow down and remember that you’re worth the extra effort that you’re putting in to lose weight.

Just like mom said

And don’t forget about your fruits and veggies. Though fruits do contain sugar, they also contain fewer calories than your traditional sugary snacks.

If you really want to jumpstart some weight loss, eat steamed vegetables at every meal. Not only do they have a slightly diuretic effect (makes you lose water weight), but they also energize your body to keep making great choices.

When you want to lose weight, you need help, but with these tips, you have everything you need.

7 Killer Ways To Maximize Your Fat Burning In The Gym

Hey, we all want to shed some pounds and get back to the body that we had when we were younger and didn’t appreciate it but it takes discipline, planning, and dedication to make that happen. All too often people shed 10 or 15 pounds and then seem to stop losing weight. There is definitely a reason this happens and it should not be seen as failure or an excuse to give up on your weight loss goals. Here are 7 absolutely killer ways to maximize your fat burning routine and help ensure success with your weight loss goals.

1) Anaerobic Exercise

If you think you can just run laps or pedal that fat away, think again. Muscle tissue is what burns the most calories in our bodies and you need to life weights in order to create bigger muscles that will burn more calories. Now although aerobic exercises such as cycling or swimming are also necessary, the fact remains that building bigger muscles is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. This is because you are creating a more efficient calorie burning machine by lifting weights which will ensure you success with your weight loss goals.

2) Warm-up and Cool Down

Warming up before exercising and taking the time to cool down afterwards with some light exercises are not generally seen as essential to a fat burning program. However, the reason why a lot of people tend to give up on their weight loss goals is because they failed to see the progress they hoped for when they began. An injury, even one that only lasts for a few days, can set your weight loss goals back by weeks and lead to a loss of stimulation. You need to plan an extra twenty minutes into your weight lifting routine for these two essential activities or you risk injury and derailing your weight loss plan.

3) Diet, Diet, Diet

This should not be a killer way to maximize your weight loss goals but it is. The reason for this is because people tend to think of losing weight in two ways: diet, or exercise. Hey, these two go hand in hand and you are never going to maximize your fat burning routine in the gym unless you take care of your body outside of the gym. Stop thinking of meals in terms of three: instead, think 5 meals with smaller portions. The FDA recently developed a new food pyramid with this very idea in mind and you should check it out before starting your fat burning program because it can save you a lot of time and energy if you get the diet part figured out before even stepping into the gym.

4) Plan Workouts

The body is the most complex machine on the planet and you can’t just hope to step into a gym and jump on a machine or some weights and think that you are going to see the results you want without knowing how they affect your body. The ideal exercise routine is done only 3 or 4 times per week and only for 30-45 minutes at a time. You cannot work your body more than this because it will actually cause your muscles to break down which means you will be burning fewer calories, and therefore, not maximizing your fat burning routine in the gym. If you have any doubts about what kind of routine is ideal for your goals, don’t be afraid to consult an physical trainer to help you set up a program that is best suited for you.

5) Nutritional Supplements

If you really want to maximize your fat burning routine in the gym, then you need to consider using nutritional supplements. Now I am not talking about those crazy supplements that promise to burn fat for you while you sit and watch tv! I am talking about essential fatty acids, amino acids, whey protein….things that will truly maximize your workouts that you can’t always expect to get in the foods you eat every day. Again, consult a physical trainer if you want to know which supplements are best for your weight loss goals.

6) Set Weekly Goals

I know that this just seems terribly obvious but the truth is that most people are not thrilled with the idea of working out so it is easy for them to skip a session or indulge in some pizza and think that they will make up for it next time. Listen, next time never comes and when you stop seeing the scales go down, the motivation just seems to stop. By setting weekly goals, you can track your progress and make it that much more likely that you will adhere to the goals when you see things are not going as expected.

7) No More Late Night Snacks

This one may not seem to make sense, but I assure you that it will help maximize your fat burning exercises. The reason is your metabolism. When you eat right before you go to bed, it throws your body off and you probably notice that you awaken and don’t feel hungry. Then, you skip breakfast entirely or only snack on a bagel or something on you way into work.

The result: the body goes into conservation mode. This means that it slows down your metabolism and that means you are burning less calories throughout the day. Plus, it increases the likelihood of snacking and basically just sets the scene for a bad cycle. Eating five smaller portioned meals per day also has to do with your metabolism as it has been found that metabolism remains highest when there is a consistent supply of food in the body. You might not believe that late night snacking affects the way your body burns fat when working out, but it does.

Now some of the things listed above are obvious while some just seem silly. And yet, taken together and consistently adhered to, these 7 little ideas will maximize your fat burning in the gym and get you to that body you can see in your mind but not the mirror far quicker than if you just go about things in a disorganized and inconsistent manner.

Want To Get In On The Gold Rush? Read This!

There are things every investor needs to know before investing in gold. Gold helps balance your portfolio and diversify your investments. However, do you know where to start? The number of options available can make it difficult to know what to do. Read on to make the process of gold investment easier.

You should always ask for timely delivery when purchasing some gold from a reliable seller. To ensure timely delivery request a confirmation on the shipping date. Your expected receive date should be listed. Don’t buy without such a contract.

Do not allow the high price of gold to deter you from buying quality products. You will not benefit from buying jewelry that is plated or filled with gold. Before settling for a gold plated piece, understand that there are great deals out there on solid gold jewelry. Pawn shops and online sites have hundreds of gold pieces for sale.

If the reason for purchasing gold is for your retirement fund, it’s crucial to purchase the appropriate kind. For this to be the case, you must ensure that the IRS approves of that type of gold. They must be 24 karat bullion bars or coins. You should be more inclined to buy gold bars, which hold greater value than coins.

Consider a fair return policy as an absolute necessity when you’re purchasing gold jewelry, especially if you intend to make a gift out of it. There are time where you may have to return the jewelry. If this happens, then you need to be returning the piece in question for a refund.

Avoid letting people know that you are planning to sell your gold. This is because you never truly know who may be listening. Keep your investment private and secured, preferably in a safe. That will help protect your gold and you at all times.

Be careful before getting involved in the gold market. There are many scammers in the gold market. Gold companies will often shortchange you when offering a price for your gold. Therefore, it is important to proceed with caution and research each company carefully.

When selling gold, research the market price. See what others are bidding for gold items similar to yours. That allows you to get an idea of the market value. You should always ask for a slightly higher price so you can negotiate with the buyer.

Always do your own research into the gold market before you make any investments. There may be individuals that claim to be professional market gurus, but they’re just scam artist that want your investment. But, be wary of get-rich-quick promises. Avoid the thought of gold as a get-rich-quick scheme, and you will not be led into false expectations.

Do not sell any jewelry solely for its gold content without seeking an appraisal. This is particularly true for unique pieces that have exquisite workmanship and design. An appraiser will charge you a nominal fee, but it is an expense worth paying if your piece is unique and valuable. Appraisers may know others that will buy your precious jewelry, too.

When you know the right information for gold investments, you can better negotiate your options and better understand the entire process. This article should have showed you that so you should now be ready to make better decisions. Get things started by using these tips.

Expert Advice On How To Deal In Gold

It’s essential for gold investors to know how to properly invest in gold. Diversity is essential and will help with balancing the portfolio. It’s sometimes hard to know where you must start. With so many possibilities from which you can choose, how do you determine which route is best? Read on to ease the process and try to learn some gold investing basics.

When you sell gold, get multiple estimates of its value. Several gold-buying services and jewelry stores get different profits for the gold they buy. If you’re able to work with a couple of different places, you can see if you’re getting the best deal.

Sell your gold online. You don’t have to go to a physical location to sell gold any longer. Take advantage of websites that allow you to sell gold. You will receive a package that details how to send you gold pieces. You will receive payment based on the current market value of gold when your items arrive.

The cost of gold may put you off. You don’t have to spend a mint at a jewelry store, though. It is easy to get great deals on gold jewelry from online retailers or pawn shops.

Consider giving GoldMoney a try for gold purchases. It s sort of like a bank account for gold. You can open an account, fund it and then determine what price you wish to pay for gold allocation. Of course, you won’t actually have the gold. It will stay in the bank, but you can cash it in, portion it or even redeem it to receive one-kilogram bars of gold bullion.

As exhilarating as gold gets, don’t run your mouth about it. Someone around you could be listening in and be untrustworthy. Keep your investment to yourself and under lock and key, either with a bank or in a good home safe. In this way, you can be sure your gold investment is safe.

Take your time when you are considering dealing with a gold buyer. You never know what kind of offer you will receive! Going to different places will allow you to weigh your options and go with the best deal. It can also help you to negotiate if needed. Wait a bit of time so you have the greatest cash in your pocket.

Talk to a gold representative to learn how they test gold for purity. The item is stamped, a lot of times. However, you may see no sign at all but there are ways to determine its value. If you see the gold buyer performing an acid test, this is probably somebody who is inexperienced in this market.

Research all that you can before you invest in gold. There are those who say they’re market gurus and want you to invest with them. Be careful of promises claiming you’ll become rich. Do not think of gold as some way to get rich quickly, and you won’t be disappointed.

Making the right choices when purchasing gold is a big part of the process of investing. You can start implementing your plan now that you have educated yourself. Keep the advice from this article in mind when investing in the gold market.

Are We Having Fun Yet? Stress and Exercise

Like taxes, stress is a part of everyone’s life. The “experts” tell us that some stress is good because without it there would be no motivation to do anything! However, if you are like me, serious stress and anxiety makes me feel bad physically – I am unable to eat. This can’t be good!

For most of us, stress is low-level most of the time. Our daily tasks and relationships give us a bit of stress but not major anxiety. The body’s response to low-level stressors is designed to motivate us to action with a slightly raised heart rate and increased mental clarity –similar to the response to caffeine.

In times where stress levels go higher, the responses are what many people call the “fight or flight” response. The body sends blood to the extremities to get ready for action! These responses are normal and good for you – except when the stress levels remain high for a long time. When the body perpetually stays in a stressed state, the systems begin to break down. Think of it like a car engine where the throttle is stuck and the engine is constantly “revved up”. Not only will it consume A LOT of gasoline, but the mechanical parts will wear out faster.

So what to do to protect ourselves from this? RELAX of course….and EXERCISE. Exercise helps us relax both physiologically and, if it’s enjoyable, provides a mental escape from the stressor. The physiological effects of exercise include release of morphine-like chemicals (which include beta-endorphins) that give us a sense of well being. Have you ever heard the term Runner’s High? This is caused by the release of “endorphins” into the blood. Since these chemicals stay in the blood for several hours after stopping the activity, the “feel good” feeling remains for a while.

OK, so we know why exercise can help with anxiety and stress. But what are some of the ways regular exercise keeps us healthy in normal, low-level stress, times?

Here’s some from the top of my head:

Using a daily dose of natural “feel good” chemicals is better than drugs or alcohol!!
Looking fit, healthy and strong (It’s ok to admit that looking good makes you feel good!)
Feeling good from accomplishment and improvement.
Escaping from the daily grind for an hour – change of scene.
Keeping the body systems prepared to handle high-level stress.

The key to lowering stress with exercise is that you ENJOY the exercise that you choose to do. If you hate going to the gym, it’s not going to lower your stress – in fact it probably will add some! Also, studies are showing over and over that even low intensity exercise helps anxiety, so any activity you enjoy is good. For me, when I am under stress, nothing works better than a good sweaty dance session. The music, movement and high heart rate just melt away my troubles. Some of my clients even tell me that the sense of achievement from competitive sports makes them feel less stressed!

The bottom line? To decrease the effects stress on your body, pick a fitness or sports activity you enjoy, do it regularly and HAVE FUN.

What’s The Goal Of Your Blog Post?

Before you sit down and write the first word of your next blog post, stop and think about what you want to accomplish with your post. What’s your goal? How is this blog post going to help you accomplish something to help you move forward with your business.

Here are some questions you may want to ask yourself:

? Are you writing a post that you hope will get shared across social media and grow your reach?

? Are you writing a post that also invites readers to join your email list so you can get back in touch later?

? Are you writing a post to get the attention of a big brand you’d like to work with?

? Are you writing a blog post to start a conversation with your existing readership?

? Are you writing a blog post with the end goal of selling your readers a product?

? Are you writing a blog post to start a conversation with a fellow blogger in hopes of growing a mutually profitable relationship?

All of the above are valid goals for your blog posts and I’m sure you can add a few more to that list. The important thing is that you are aware of what you’re trying to accomplish with your post.

Then start with the end in mind. If your goal is to get the attention of a big brand you’d like to work with for example, think about a post you can write about your experience with one of their products.

If your goal is to grow your list, think of a topic that’s complimentary to your opt-in offer freebie. Write the content and then transition into an invitation to join your list and download the free report.

Do you see how much easier it is to craft goal driven blog posts when you know what your goal is before you sit down to write? You can reverse engineer the entire process and make sure everything flows well and leads your reader to whatever action you want them to take at the end.

Being able to do that is pretty powerful stuff. It allows you to craft different posts strategically. Write a post that helps you grow your reach. Then work on one that starts the conversation with our new readers. Next work on getting them on your list and finally make them an offer. Intersperse this with posts that help you get the attention of potential JV partners and Brands and you’re all set to not only grow your blog and your audience, but make money blogging as well.

6 Steps to Ending Bad Eating Habits

A client wrote, “Help me! I thought I was finally getting a handle on my weight issue but the sugar is killing me. I had an awful day. I won’t even tell you what I ate today because it is just so unbelievable. All I will say is that 90% of my food today consisted of sugar! I really, really need some help getting past these cravings. I am no doubt a sugar addict. If I could get past this there is no doubt that I will reach my goal.”

If you see a little of yourself in this message, you’re not alone. Many describe themselves as sugar addicts. They believe if it were only for that one thing, then they could reach their weight loss goals. If you believe only one thing stands in your way of losing weight, consider this: What if that one thing (an addiction to sugar for instance) were gone? Do you really believe, “If I could get past this, there is no doubt that I will reach my goal,” or is it an easy excuse to stay stuck?

If I told you I could show you a way to stop craving sugar, would you want me to show you how?

Think about that for a moment. Close your eyes and really think it through. You’ve said if only you didn’t crave sugar, then you could lose weight, but is that really true for you? Ask yourself these questions:

Would you eat differently, and if so how?

Would you act differently, and if so how?

What else would change, and what would stay the same?

What would you lose?

What would you gain?

Until you know what you want, know you can achieve it, and know what else will change (i.e. how your life may be different), you can’t discover any obstacles that first must be considered. For instance, you may want to stop eating anything after 7 PM yet your husband doesn’t come home from work until 8 and he wants you to join him for dinner. That’s an obstacle.

If you’ve got a habit of watching your favorite TV show with a bowl of ice cream, then breaking that habit is another obstacle.

If you don’t work out ways to overcome your obstacles perhaps through discussion and compromise with your husband, or habit breaking exercises for your ice cream habit, there’s bound to be a problem. Just saying you’re not going to do something any mroe rarely works. Instead determine what might stand in the way of achieving your goals, find a way around them, and you’re much more likely to actually achieve those goals once and for all.

The statement, “if this one thing were handled, then everything else would fall into place” is an “If Then” statement and gets people into trouble. They want a fairy godmother to make it all better. A strong belief that one single thing such as, “eating sugar is my problem,” sets you up to fail, especially if you really like eating sugary foods.

Getting a handle on your cravings is not an all-or-nothing proposition. You must leave room for occasional deviations. It’s not the occasional side trip that causes weight trouble, it’s the road we usually travel.

In NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) a good starting point is the exercise called Establishing a Well Formed Outcome. “Well formed” means it meets all criteria of a well thought-out end result.

NLP: How to Create a Well Formed Outcome & Get What You Want

Here are the steps to creating a well formed outcome:

1) State what you want (not what you do not want). “I want to weigh 135 pounds.”

2) Determine whether you can achieve it (do you believe it is possible?).

3) What resources do you have and what do you need (time, money, gear, clothes, equipment, coaching, whatever).

4) Check whether anyone else is involved and any potential obstacles that may come up regarding others. Think of everyone involved in your day-to-day life.

5) Picture yourself “as if” you’ve obtained what you say you want and see if that picture fits. Do you like what you see?

6) Put together a plan of action for the achievement of your outcome.

While it may seem like a lot of effort simply to decide what you really want, going through these steps at the beginning helps you find potential obstacles which previously stopped you from moving forward. For example, if you decide you want to join a gym and start exercising every day but you’ve forgotten you don’t even own a car and just lost your job, that exercise plan might not work out right now. If you did join a gym, you’d end up not going and then you’d think you’d failed, yet it was the plan that failed, not you. You didn’t think it through.

A better plan in this instance may be doing exercises at home, or within walking distance (or simply walking for exercise). Later, when you do have transportation, you can rethink the plan and perhaps join a gym then. There are always options.

It’s better to look at what you want from every angle, then put together a plan you know can and will work. Then when you know what you want, you’ll also know you can make it happen and begin by taking that first step toward making it a reality.

“Achieving a Well Formed Outcome” is one of the sessions in the Ending Emotional Eating 8-Week Workshop. You can also find more information on this popular and well known NLP process by searching for “NLP Well Formed Outcome” in your favorite search engine.

One Signup Per Day

How I Generated One Signup A Day For My Business

In 2008, I joined a leads generation system called LeadsLeap. At that time, this system generated an average of 1 signup a day for the business that I was promoting.

Soon I got to know the founder, Kenneth Koh, through a few support correspondences. This is where I got the report from that I am sharing with you.

Time flies. Businesses rise and fall. Many popular leads generation systems back then are now no longer seen.

But LeadsLeap continues to flourish, and my network in LeadsLeap continues to grow, even though I haven’t promoted it for years.

In this updated report ‘One Signup A Day 2.0’, I’ll share with you what LeadsLeap has done for me over the years.

I’ll also share with you my experience in getting clicks and how I convert clicks into signups.

How To Craft A Good Call To Action At The End Of Your Post

If there’s one thing I see a lot of bloggers do wrong, it’s not giving their readers anything to do at the end of the blog post. Put yourself in the shoes of your readers. You read a great article, get to the end and there’s no call to action. What do you do? You go back to Facebook or go watch some cat videos on YouTube. Why not give your readers something more. What if they wouldn’t mind learning more from you or connecting with you via email or social media or even take you up on a product recommendation? That’s what a call to action at the end of your blog posts is all about.

Encourage Them To Comment And Interact With You

One of the easiest ways to craft a call to action is to ask your readers to leave you a comment. Invite them to share their own experiences on the topic, a tip, a recipe etc. In other words, ask them to comment on the post.

Example: What are your favorite ways to end your blog posts? Do you use a particular call to action? Leave me a comment below and let’s talk.

Invite Them To Connect Further Via Social Media

If growing your social media reach is a goal, consider adding some calls to action on to “like” the blog post on Facebook, share it on Twitter, pin it on Pinterest etc. Or share one of your social media profiles in the call to action and invite them to join you there.

Example: Got questions about crafting calls to action? Let’s talk about it on our Facebook page. (Link to your Facebook page).

Make A Recommendation

Sometimes it makes sense to make a sale and monetize your blog post in your call to action. This is also called pre-selling. You talk about a topic and then at the end make a recommendation for a product that helps your readers learn more or take the next step.

Example: There’s a lot more to be said about crafting a strong call to action. Take a look at this guide to learn more.

Invite Them To Join Your List

Often the best thing you can do at the end of your blog posts is to invite readers to join your list. Once you have them on your email list, you can invite them to come back and read other posts, comment on them, join you on your favorite social media platforms and of course make offers to your readers.

Getting them on your list should always be your first priority, so use that call to action often.

Example: I have a lot more to share on the topic of blogging and would love to email you with more tips and strategies on a regular basis. Just enter your name and email below and we’ll get started right away. As a thank you, I’ll even send you my guide to writing strong blog post titles that will grab your readers’ attention.

The Elevator Pitch: First Contact

Entrepreneurs with businesses in early start-up differ on what they believe to be the most important element, although many professionals will argue that creating a solid business plan should definitely be the first step.

A well-crafted business plan lays out all the details and strategies, includes projections for revenue and spending, and will be reviewed in detail by bankers and venture capitalists. But in fact, the most important document that should be created even before the business plan is the “elevator pitch.”

The fact is, most people will not read a business plan unless they have been motivated to do so beforehand. The elevator pitch is that motivating factor. It’s the hook that gets them into the room. It’s the catchy jingle that gets people to pay attention to the ad. It’s the best parts of the business plan, without the boring details. The elevator pitch is the place for the excitement, not the place to include all the technology, buzzwords and explanations.

An elevator pitch should be able to be condensed into a single-page presentation, short enough to be memorized, or read easily within a few minutes—that’s how it got its name, it’s a pitch that’s short enough to be presented during the course of an elevator ride.

The elevator pitch condenses your business concept into something that can be presented in about a minute or two—essentially, the parts that matter, the very “essence” of the business.

The elevator pitch skips the hard-core financials, and gets straight to the heart of what it is about the business that really gets you excited. That’s what this pitch is about—you don’t need the proof of concept here yet, that comes in the full-length business plan. The elevator pitch is the commercial that gets people interested.

The elevator pitch should be inspirational and creative, hitting the high points of your business concept, and should accomplish the following:

  • Hit the high points of what it is you hope to do
  • Summarize the problem/solution aspect of your concept
  • Describe the business model—how is it going to make money?
  • Create excitement on the part of the reader/listener
  • Describe the profit potential without having to bring out charts and graphs
  • Tell why you/your company are well positioned to accomplish your goal
  • End with a call to action

The first couple sentences are the most critical, and should present your core concept. If you can’t tell what it is you want to do in two sentences or less, then you need to simplify your concept. There will be plenty of time to get into all the details later, once you’ve captured your audience’s interest.

5 Super Simple Weight Loss Tips

Weight loss is one of those subjects that everyone is always talking about. It seems you can’t go anywhere without seeing or hearing some type of weight loss message. Stories of the dangers of not losing weight appear regularly on the nightly news. Retail outlets and the Internet both are full of weight loss books and products. Weight loss is discussed in medical centers and at schools and even in the work place. If you’re trying to lose weight, here are a few tips to get you going.

Tip #1 – Stop Talking About Weight Loss!

All that talk about how much you want to lose weight isn’t going to make the weight come off. You’ve got to take action, starting right now. So take this simple advice: Stop moving your mouth and start moving your body! It won’t take long to begin seeing the results.

Tip #2 – Slow and Steady is Best

Slow and steady weight loss is better (and safer) than riding the dieting roller coaster. If you’re looking for long-lasting weight loss results, aim to lose an average of about two pounds each week. In order to lose weight you’ve got to consume fewer calories than you burn. As a bonus, when you combine dieting with exercise, you’ll be reducing your caloric intake and increasing your caloric burn rate at the same time.

Tip #3 – Save Your Money

Don’t spend your hard-earned money on the latest weight loss gimmicks. Pills, fad diets, hypnosis, and extreme surgical procedures are not the answer! These gimmicks won’t slim you down, but they will fatten the bank accounts of those who promote them! Eating a nutritionally-balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, good fats and lean proteins will encourage weight loss faster than any miracle cure you can buy.

Tip #4 – Weight Loss is a Way of Life

Unfortunately, the issue of weight is something that most people will struggle with throughout life. Excess processed foods and a sedentary lifestyle are the two biggest contributors to this constant struggle. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you’ve got to change the way you think about food. It should be thought of as a source of fuel, not a passion. Successful weight loss really is about making lifestyle changes, including making the right food choices, and then sticking with those choices throughout life.

Tip #5 – Weight Loss is More Than a Number

When you’re dieting, don’t become a victim of the dreaded scale. When the numbers go down, happiness goes up. But when the numbers stay the same or go up, it is easy to give up and give in. Remember that even if your weight isn’t changing as you would like, your body is. You’ll be taking better care of your heart. You’ll be lowering your cholesterol levels. You’ll be sporting a leaner body and your clothes will begin fitting more comfortably. When you learn to find joy in these other benefits, you’ll want to keep on being a loser!

Arm Exercise!

Whether you want to tone and define weak arms so that you can wear something sleeveless with confidence or you want to increase muscle mass, working the muscles in the front and back of the upper arms will help you get there.

Most people new to bodybuilding pay a lot of attention to building big arms, sometimes to the point of overtraining. Don’t forget, the arm muscles are brought into play during most exercises aimed at other body parts so care must be taken not to overdo things.

Having said that, the arms are complex body parts in their own right and deserve a properly focused exercise program. In basic terms the arm consists of three main muscle groups:

1. Biceps brachii – two muscles at the front upper arm that run from the elbow to the shoulders.

2. Triceps brachii – three muscles at the rear upper arm that run from the elbow to the shoulder.

3. Forearm – several smaller muscles that run from the elbow to the wrist.

We’re really stuck on wanting to look good and that’s alright, but it’s really one goal of the arm exercise benefits. “Exercise is a body tune-up, and if we’re keeping our body exercised, we’re keeping it tuned just like a car.” When working the arms, be sure to balance the body.

We tend to make the mistake of exercising only our show muscles. And that is actually an imbalanced program. We pay too much attention to the muscles in front of our body and not enough attention to the back of the body.

On the most basic level, this doesn’t build the whole muscle.

The reality is, if you want big arms, you’ve got to work both sides of the arms. When someone flexes their biceps, it’s the whole arm that’s working. The triceps are a part of that.

You should vary your grip and width when performing not only these exercises, but all others. Why? Consider the barbell curl as an example. Most guys tend to use a wider grip, which works the short head of the biceps on the inside of the arm, while forgoing a narrow grip, where the biceps’ long head is emphasized. When someone who does this places his hands on his hips, the long head on the outside of his arm is usually small and disproportionate compared to the inner arm. By using the same grip or width all the time, you create an imbalance in size and strength.

Different Ways To Monetize Your Blog Posts

Let’s start with a big assumption. You’re writing your blog to make money, to earn a living, not to share fun stories about what’s going on with your family or what you’re up to with your favorite hobby or activity. If you’re putting in the work, doing the research, and growing the audience, chances are you’d like to get paid for your hard work. And for that to happen, you have to monetize your blog posts. Let’s look at three different ways to do just that.

Make Product Recommendations Directly On Your Blog

One of the easiest things to get started with is to make recommendations directly in your blog posts. These can be your own products or something you’re an affiliate for. If you want something really simple to try, sign up for the Amazon affiliate program and as you blog about things, work in a product here or there.

For example, if you’re in the parenting niche and are working on a blog post about a fun park in your area that you went to, you could mention the stroller you used and how well it did or didn’t perform in the park. Or if you’re a photographer who also blogs, share your latest pictures and mention what camera, filter, flash etc. you used for each picture along with links to those products.

Work With Brands

Working with brands is another great option. Make connections via social media or use one of the large networks that connect bloggers and brands. They will often pay you to write a blog post that mentions one of their products. Don’t be surprised to work for free products or low pay in the beginning. That’s ok.

It takes time to build a relationship and show the marketing person you’re working with that you have the reach and the chops to influence a large group of people. And of course as your audience grows, you can expect to get paid better to be a brand ambassador.

Grow Your List and Make Offers Via Email

The most effective way to make money from your blog is to focus on getting your blog readers on your email list first. This gives you a chance to build a stronger relationship with your audience, get them back to your blog and of course make offers to them directly in your emails.

Keep your email messages entertaining and helpful with some recommendations thrown in, and you’ll do well. Keep growing your list as your blog grows and your income will follow right along.

Of course this is by no means an all-inclusive list. There are quite a few other ways to monetize your blog, but these are three relatively simple concepts you can start with.

How To Build a Duplicating Downline

Build a Duplicating Downline

Regardless the controversy that the term Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) or Network Marketing brings to mind when mentioned in a conversation, the success of such an industry cannot be denied at the moment.

The long existence of multitudes of MLM organizations is a wonderful indicator that network marketing is here to stay and flourish. As such, additional people are trying to join the bandwagon, building their own MLM .

But, a lot of people are completely misguided or misinformed resulting into the collapse of several network marketing businesses. True that it is difficult to maintain multi-level marketing that could proliferate well, but undoubtedly there is one key component for a network marketing organization’s success, and that is a duplicating downline.

Most people do not know how to build a duplicating downline, but hopefully with the tips to be presented, one may be able to gather a well generating force that almost immediately translate into a productive MLM business.

Multi-level marketing certainly entails leadership, specifically when building a downline. Since building a downline is only another designation for the recruitment process, great people management skills is important in order for the downline to operate well, and thus duplicate.

A lot of people think that network marketing is a self-generating business, but if that was the case, then no MLM organization would have had failed. Downlines certainly not duplicate on their own, even if the product being marketed is perfect. The people in the downline are to be trained and mentored well or else the business would take no direction and would lastly fall flat.

The person on top of the downline may be able to sign multitudes, but that does not guarantee duplication. Without a clear direction, the network would not expand towards success, but instead be paralyzed. The ones on top may easily put the blame on the ones at the bottom, but who recruited the people down there anyway’ Managing a multi-level marketing organization entails a lot of generosity and selflessness.

Duplicability is after all not just the expansion of people in number, but the duplication of the success throughout all the people in the downline.

It is a sad fact in human life that a lot of people think only for themselves. The people on top could think only of their success and see the ones under as nothing but machines to propagate the success. But that cannot happen in multi-level marketing.

In order for the top to succeed, the bottom should be able to succeed as well. When building a downline, one should have a mindset that allows the success to trickle downwards, and not just to remain on top.

The founder of the network marketing organization should be very conscious that what he or she was able to do, the people in the downline could do perfectly as well. There should be no secrets within the organization for the downline to duplicate.

The topline should be able to share and teach the downline the same philosophies and techniques so that the success of the top could be replicated by people in the downline.

Building a duplicating downline actually means duplicating one’s self. This means that when building a downline, one does not just inform people how to sell, rather, one influences or even infects others with one whole self, well at least just the business component of one’s self.

When building a downline, one has to transmit the psyche of the top to the bottom, the bottom should be able to act in the same way as the ones on top.The downline ultimately becomes one with their organizer or founder, they should be able to share the same dreams, anxieties and hopes so that the success that the ones on top experienced would be replicated by the ones on the bottom.

This speaks a lot about the recruitment process itself. True that is hard to enlist exact copies of the founder, but one has to carefully enjoin individuals who have the capacity to act and think in the same wavelength as the recruiter.

In this light, the leader of a network marketing organization should reflect and see how the connection with the downline, or the prospective downline is. First one has to be sure if the people in the downline could relate with the leader and vice-versa. Duplication is unachievable without proper relation. Second, the leader should act in a way that is not so alienating to the downline, otherwise they might think too highly of the leader that they might assume they would never be able to be like him or her.

Again a duplicating downline should have a duplicable top. With this in mind, building a duplicability can be ensured as well as the success of the business.

Job Hunting: Networking With Others is the Keys to Success

You can never underestimate the power of networking. Often success is directly proportional to the size of the social circle.

Whether you are looking for an entry level job or wanting to climb the career ladder you will need some kind of networking savvy in order to survive in the business world.

If you are looking for an entry level job your networking skills might be more important than the quality of your CV. Research shows that most jobs are obtained through contacts before the jobs even become open to the general public. In the established business world strong networking skills are shown to be one of the most powerful predictors in success. If you struggle with people skills and need some help expanding your network read on.

You will need to collect up all the business cards and contact numbers of the people you already know. Make one central place where you keep all your contacts’ information.

The Internet opens up a myriad of opportunities for those nervous about networking and interpersonal skills. With email and web sites you can reach a wider network than you ever could the ‘old fashioned way’. Even building a simple website could open up many new (international) contacts and opportunities. If you are able to effectively network online can be one of the most effective tools for those seeking jobs. Discussion forums, newsgroups, discussion groups and exchange ideas – and most importantly contact details.

There is no substitute for good old fashioned networking. You cannot replace the value of a first impression or underestimate the importance of really meeting people vs meeting online (although online meetings can reduce the stress and pressure associated with the first meeting).

If you are hesitant about networking because you lack confidence, then perhaps consider joining an organization such as Toastmasters. This is a public speaking organization which will help you build confidence and you can join from anywhere in the world. An added bonus – you will meet many new contacts and expand your circles.

Get creative with your networking. Look for opportunities to meet people and widen your social and business circles. If you are new to the job market, here are some networking strategies for first time job seekers. If you are looking for a job you need to keep expanding your network continually.

1. Make sure you understand how to use the internet to search effectively. Use all ways you can think of to come across new opportunities as they arrive

2. Create a spreadsheet or table, of all your contacts. Add as much information as you can: things like company names, titles, names of key contacts, phone numbers, and emails – any information you can. Leave space for notes and keep your table as organized and up to date as possible.

3. Regular contact: this is vital to the success of your network. Use any opportunity to connect. Ask advice, offer information you think will be useful to them – find reasons to communicate. When they respond make sure to thank them. It’s important not to take your network for granted.

4. Initiate face to face contact whenever possible.

5. Never pass up an opportunity to get out there and network. If you are in an industry that requires more networking and socializing then limit the amount of times you may say ‘no’. For example for every 2 invitations you turn down you must attend one.

6. Collect your contacts and feel free to call on them should the need arise.

7. Thank your contacts whenever they do something for you. Always be polite and courteous and do your best to respond to them timorously too. You want to come across as professional.

All About Working The Transverse Abdominals

A group of muscles that often gets neglected in stomach exercise routines are the transverse abdominals, the core muscles that lie below the rectus abdominus. Most abdominal exercises target the rectus abdominus and the vertical abdominals, ignoring the transverse abdominals. Even crunches, the staple of most abdominal workouts, do nothing for the transverse abdominals. These muscles are actually the most important to target, however, as they connect to both the lower back muscles and the rectus abdominus and for a girdle for the entire abdomen. Any routine aimed at flattening the stomach should include the transverse abdominals as a focus. Using the following exercises, you can work out your transverse abdominals and really make progress on that flat tummy. As with any workout routine, be sure to consult a professional before beginning and always warm up properly to avoid injury.

Pelvic Tilts

This stomach exercise requires lying on your back on a flat surface, such as the floor or a bench. Use a mat or towel to cushion your spine. Bend your knees so that your feet are flat on the floor. Raise your pelvis (and only your pelvis) off the floor, hold momentarily, and then lower it back down. Repeat for an entire set. Maintaining a controlled movement is crucial to this exercise. This will allow you to use your abdominal muscles, rather than your body’s momentum, to do the work on the exercise. Also, be sure to keep your upper body on the floor throughout.

Crunchless Crunch

This first exercise is fairly simple but can also be fairly difficult. Essentially, it involves trying to pull the belly button in towards the spine. This can be tricky, as it involves using muscles which you may not be used to activating. To start, either lie or on your stomach or kneel. You might want to try both ways and see which helps you feel the exercise better. Relax your body as much as possible, then try to use only the lower abdominals to move your belly button toward your spine. Hold for ten seconds. If holding for ten seconds feels easy, hold for a longer period. The goal is to hold the contraction until you either cannot feel it, or you feel other muscles working harder than the transverse abdominus. When you feel this, let the contraction out.

Scissor Kicks

This stomach exercise also requires lying on the floor. Position your hands under your butt, keeping your back pressed against the floor. Slowly raise one leg to a height of about ten inches, then slowly lower it back to the floor. As your lower one leg, raise the other. Repeat this motion for an entire set. Maintaining control throughout is important, not allowing momentum to get the better of you. Your upper body should remain on the floor through the entire move.

There are plenty of other exercises targeting the transverse abdominals, but these three ought to be enough to get you started. Stomach exercises like these are key to any tummy-flattening plan, and they are especially good for pregnant and post-partum women.
