I am James. I’m the one responsible for getting my wife Louise into Younqiue. She just wanted the makeup. I’m the sort of person who always looks for an affiliate link, a join us page, a business opportunity.
When I presented Louise with what I think would be the best route for her to get this makeup, get it cheaper and share it with others she was more open to the idea of it purely because I have been involved in Network Marketing for a while now and she has had many conversations with me about it.
When I went looking, I wanted to know who Younique were, Did they have a Viable Product Range and did they have Customers.

So reading around Younique I found out that it is a cosmetic company that was founded by Derek Maxfield and Melanie Huscroft (who are brother and sister) in 2012.
Louise actually went to the 2016 Younique 2nd Birthday Party and met Melanie and her Husband, and a few of the Team Members in Younique.
When Louise came back she was so excited to be part of this “Venture”. She shared with me their vision and mission.
The Younique Mission, as stated on their website, is to uplift woman by creating cosmetic products that empower them spiritually and physically making it possible for people to look and feel their best. Louise said that is one of the Best Mission Statements she had ever witnessed.
Louise said “When I was in London, that is where i Truely understood the mission. I could see it working first hand, I could see the lives it had changed for the better and I could really see how this can be a positive force in any woman’s life.”
MLM is a Scam
So many people confuse what Network Marketing is, they mis understand MLM and associate it directly to scams because there are so many scams out there. We all know someone who has screamed SCAM about something they did online.
MLM/Network Marketing is a valid Business Practice and one that you are really going to see a lot more of in the future. It’s cheaper for companies to adopt, it’s better for individuals to get paid their worth.
Let me share a scam that most people today are part of, tell me where you are on this Pyramid.
Can you imagine the Greeters at the bottom earning CEO Pay? Not in a Corporate Environment, now you can see why Network Marketing, MLM, Online is a way out of pay cheque to pay cheque for many people.
Please don’t think it’s easy, like any JOB, it is a learning experience. The ONLY thing that is easy about Network Marketing is that you can jump from company to company, and that is where most people fail. They don’t commit, they don’t give it a chance. If they are not stinking rich in a month, then it must be a scam.
Network Marketing is a lesson in Growth and Personal Achievements. What is good about this system is that we are NOT sales people. We as Network Marketers are there to showcase the product, share how it works, how it affects our lives, how it makes it better.
Not everyone wants to get into Network Marketing to promote it, lots just want to get their hands on the products and as a Distributor, Presenter, Affiliate you can usually get access to it cheaper.
So what was the route into Younique?
The Presenters Kit – That is the way in. When you look at the front end of the business and your looking at buying the product, your wants start to rake up a fair bit of money, I noticed this with my wifes wants from Younique. When you are looking at the Front end of the website and you are looking from a buyers point of view and your thinking “That is Expensive”. Compared to pound land, I guess it is, but the quality and the way it makes you feel, knowing you have something elegant on, that feeling is Inspiring.
So once you have the Presenters Kit, it allows you to earn a commission when you sell a product. STOP – You said I didn’t need to sell anything?
People are curious creatures, they want to be part of the pack all the time, they want to keep up with the Jonses, they want to do what you do. My wife put on the lipstick, little bit of makeup and went to the club.
The conversations that her Lipstick started with the compliments and the comments, she let a few try it and see what it was like, she told them how it felt etc and the next day she was contacted on Facebook and they wanted to know more, so she shared the link to the Lipstick she had and then she was getting in emails, You Made a Sale.
She hadn’t done anything, she just got dressed up and changed her makeup to Youniques brand. I heard her ranting and raving, I honestly thought something was wrong, but when I went to check and see, she was jumping around excited that she earned a commission from wearing makeup and talking about it.
That was when she decided that she wanted to take this on as a Business. Now you will hear many people say that
“If you are not a natural born salesman and you don’t know how to marketing online, then it will be difficult to earn a sustainable living with these type of business models.”
Remember the statement at the top, YOU are not a sales person. Your not here to sell the product, if you go into this as a business, then all you are here to do is showcase, share it and enjoy it.
If you are seriously looking at this as a Possible Venture, let me tell you NOW. No matter what you have read online, you are not going to join today and be making thousands per month within a few weeks.
So looking at this as a Business Venture you need to look LONG Term. Start Locally before you build Globally, work with your upline and get to know them.
Looking at this as a Customer. The products are actually very good quality. Younique make a lot of claims about their products and from the ones that Louise has used, the 3D Lashes and the Concealer, they have shown to live up to their claims. My daughters have started to use the products as well and they all have their favourites.

understand that nothing can be perfect. The things we would want to happen in our lives don’t necessarily happen the way we want them to be however tactful our plans were. The very things we want to attain will not pass by us so long as we won’t work towards achieving them. It takes effort to make things happen though.
best don’t necessarily mean that they qualify to the universal standard of being the best. In fact, there are so many cases when their bests may have been a mediocre standard for others and in some cases, their best is no good at all. Nonetheless, they still perform them because they know nothing better.
