How to Give Correct Instructions

The way you give instructions is going to be one of the most important defining features of you as a leader. Because ultimately, this is what will make up the majority of your job! As a leader, you are going to be spending most of your day-to-day asking people to do things and then checking they are done correctly.

But in order to do this well, you need to know how to give instructions and how to ensure the best outcome. Here’s what you need to do…

Be Clear and Precise

The first and most important thing you need to do, is to be clear and precise. The reason for this is that you need to be able to prevent mistakes and misunderstandings. If you give unclear instructions, then that will lead to your team either needing to ask for more information and clarification from you or to them making mistakes that lead to big problems and possibly lose you money.

This means that the good leader is also a good communicator by default. If you’re not a good communicator… train yourself to be!

Explain the Why

What’s even more important though, is that you explain the why in what you are asking people to do. In fact, better yet is to ask people to achieve a certain result, tell them why and give no instruction on how.

This first of all makes you a more hands-off leader and less of a micromanager. People like this because it gives more work satisfaction and makes them feel trusted.

Moreover though, explaining the what and why more than the how is going to allow your team to be flexible where necessary.

Let’s say for example that you tell your staff they need to print 500 fliers and deliver them around the neighbourhood. What happens if then the printers break? Or if the roads are snowed off? Now your team will either be stuck, or they’ll come to you to ask for direction.

Instead, tell your team they need to get 500 adverts out in the local area. This now opens up many contingency plans and other options. They could maybe outsource the flier creation to a printing company for instance, or they might use email instead or advertise in the town hall.

Either way, they have now achieved the same thing quicker and with more satisfaction because they haven’t had to ask your permission for every slight deviation in the plan!

The Top Live Streaming Services vs Facebook

Facebook Live is a relatively new platform that offers some amazing and incredibly exciting opportunities for marketers.

But while Facebook Live is a new player, live streaming itself is not so new. In fact, several other live streaming services have been around for a while now and have been making big waves in the last year. Let’s take a look at what those platforms are and how they compare with Facebook.

Specifically: if you could only invest time and effort into one of these platforms, which one would it be?

Let’s take a look.

Introducing the Contenders

Other than Facebook Live, the two biggest live streaming platforms are:

* Periscope

* Meerkat

These are two dedicated platforms that work very much like Facebook Live but with a few differences in terms of features. Periscope is owned by Twitter and is the larger of the two platforms, while Meerkat is a little way behind.

Both these platforms have very similar feature sets but with a few key differences. Videos stick around on Periscope for 24 hours after you create them for instance, while they disappear instantly from Meerkat. Periscope also has a very handy map-view that makes it easy to find new content. In its favour, Meerkat allows you to use images as slides during your live feeds.

While these are the two biggest platforms, there are some other options. YouTube has a live streaming service for instance but this is isn’t yet a major focus of the service. Twitch is a huge service that focusses on streams of computer games, while Blab is an interesting program currently in beta that allows you to have conferences and invite multiple viewers to take part.

Why Facebook Comes Out on Top

Facebook comes out on top when compared to these platforms in almost every respect though.

For example, Facebook actually allows you to keep your videos indefinitely once you’ve streamed them; and even do some light editing.

Most important though is the far bigger audience that Facebook Live gives you access to. In order to watch Facebook Live videos, an audience doesn’t have to sign up to anything. Any Facebook user will conceivably be able to watch your live videos as long as they’re following your page. At the same time though, you still have all the same advantages in terms of the engagement and excitement of live video.

There are specific use-case scenarios where other platforms come out on top… but if you had to bet on one platform now, Facebook would be the smartest choice!

So you want to lose weight… ?

I love SlimRoast Coffee, I cannot explain how good it makes me feel. Not only for the weight loss but for the Healthy Lifestyle it has allowed me and for the financial freedom it is providing me.

HOWEVER, people need to realize that the Valentus Product Range are not magic pills, you need to be wanting to get into a lifestyle change.

I call Valentus my Enabler. It enables me to control my mouth. I can walk past the fridge and I wont even open the door, the kids can come home from school and they will have treats left in the cupboard.

I’m sure that if you’ve decided you want to lose some weight (whether it be just a few pounds or a large chunk of your body mass), chances are you’ve done the research on diets, plans, gyms, exercises, and anything that you can find on that subject. If so, you’ve probably seen that most credible sources will tell you that weight loss and fitness are strongly related. If not, that’s what I’ll tell you now.

If you want to lose weight, you first need to evaluate a few truths. Personal Truths that is. Be honest with yourself. Look at what you are doing from a day to day, write it down if you need to.

IF you lie, your only lying to yourself. I was shocked when I wrote down everything I ate, all the snacks, nibbles, quick bites, the list goes on and on. Not only did it show me where I was screwing up, it also showed me how much money I was wasting.

Fact – If you burn off more calories than you eat, you will lose weight. You can either chose to do no “extra” exercise and eat very, very little in order to lose weight, or you can stick to a plan that will burn off enough calories and allow you not to starve yourself. It’s also important to note that overly-decreasing your calorie intake can backfire on you because your body will slow your metabolism down in order to accommodate this adjustment in calorie intake. This will cause you to actually gain weight instead of lose it.

The next fact is that a combination of water and oxygen leads to fat burning. Make sure that you are getting at least a half gallon of water every day. Your body will use this water when you exercise, and cause you to lose weight in a healthy way. Again, you must combine your water intake with some form of aerobic exercise (increased oxygen) for this to work. Choose something that you like and can do on a regular basis like Walking, biking, swimming, yard work, etc. As long as you get your heart rate up a little bit, it’s a good fat burning exercise.

Finally, consistency is the key when it comes to your weight loss and fitness plan. So many people jump into something quickly with the mindset that they will just keep up the pace for a couple of weeks or a couple of months and then they can go back to their usual life.

I had one person PM me and say, I started on the SlimRoast on Tuesday how soon before I lose the weight?

It took you 30 years to put it on, you want it gone in how many weeks. Did you know that a safe amount to lose per week is 2 lbs. Not a lot is it. 40 weeks and you will have lost 3 stone at 2 lbs a week.

In reality, your plan should be a life-long commitment. Even after you lose the weight, in order to maintain your goal weight, you need to eat right and get some activity in. So, pick an activity that you enjoy (or that you don’t mind so much). Walking is one favorite. If you live in the city, you can actually walk part of the way to work, save on gym expenses, and not have to worry about finding time in your day to exercise. If not, no matter where you live, you can probably find the time to take a 20-minute brisk walk around your neighborhood. Bring a buddy along to keep you entertained and you’ll see that the time flies. The connection between weight loss and fitness is too strong to ignore. So, pick your plan and stick with it for life.

Tips for Great Presentation in Your Facebook Live Content

Facebook Live is a platform that should appeal to anyone who is trying to build a personal brand and establish themselves as a thought leader in their niche. This will encompass a very large proportion of digital marketers and make this a platform that a lot of people start making use of.

What this also means is that some of the people reading this and planning on creating live content won’t have much experience with creating video content. So if you’re not an experienced YouTuber, read on to learn some of the tips of the trade that will help you to create more engaging and professional videos…

Video Quality

Video quality makes a huge difference on YouTube. On Facebook Live of course this isn’t such a big issue (seeing as everyone is recording from their phones) but you can nevertheless make a big difference if you invest in a high quality camera phone.

What’s arguably even more important meanwhile is that your videos be bright. Even a low quality video will look much clearer crisper if the room has lots of light! Either invest in a light box, or try to use natural light strategically. Aim for ‘Rembrandt lighting’ which means lighting your face from one side more than the other.

Audio

Your audio is equally important. Make sure that you record your sound using a lapel mic or a phone with a clear built in microphone. Speak slowly and clearly and think as well about the acoustics of the room you’re in: this can make a surprisingly big difference! Avoid echoing spaces where possible and think about your background noise. If people can’t hear what you’re saying, they’ll leave quickly!

Presenting

Being a good presenter is about being engaging and clear. It’s also about being charismatic and smart. Try to dress for the occasion but likewise don’t look overdressed as this will just make you look desperate – which is never a good look! Go for ‘effortlessly smart’ and try watching your favorite YouTubers for tips.

Set

Finally, think about your ‘set’. The area you film in is very important and will make a big difference. In particular, try to avoid filming anywhere where there’s too much activity behind you that could be distracting. Likewise, avoid filming anywhere that looks untidy or unprofessional. Your living room is not a good choice if there is lots of rubbish strewn around the place!

How to See the Future as a Leader – Like You Have a Crystal Ball!

A Leader Must Wear Many Hats.

Sometimes a leader must be a ruler who makes the final judgement. Sometimes a leader needs to keep the team calm. And sometimes, a leader must be the one to solve arguments and disputes.

One of the most important jobs of an effective leader of all though, is to effectively see the future. In other words, a leader must be able to anticipate what is just around the corner and predict what challenges and changes will face their organization. This is absolutely crucial, because it is what will allow them to create a more resilient business and to weather any storm. Moreover, it is what will allow them to take advantage of changes in the market and truly flourish rather than just survive.

So how do you do it?

Financial Modelling

One answer is to use financial modelling. This is an accounting from strategy that can be useful in all manner of leadership roles – even including leading the household!

The idea is essentially that you’re going to look at the situation your business is in financially and then try to predict how that might change. To do this, you will look at your overheads and your income. How many customers do you have? How much of your sales is profit? What else are you spending money on? How long until you pay off your loans?

This then allows you to make a graph – your financial model – and you can use that in order to plot the future predictions for your earnings. This might be a sharp incline, or it might be a steady plateaux. It may be that it takes a while for you to breakeven.

Either way though, this information now allows you to budget for the future, knowing how much spare cash you’ll have at any given time. Moreovoer, it lets you create imaginary scenarios – seeing how your business would survive an increase in rent for example. If the answer is ‘it wouldn’t’, then you need to change your numbers or set out contingency plans!

Resilience

Resilience means that a business is able to stand up to all kinds of changes. There are many ways you can make your business more resilient but the best include increasing the number of products or revenue streams you have, having money saved in the bank and paying off all outstanding loans and debts.

What Are The Benefits of Network Marketing?

There are many benefits to being involved in Network Marketing, not just financial. One of the key benefits I believe is a sense of purpose and belonging. What I see in Leaders, is the skill of making others feel that they are involved and that they have a worth.

This supportive environment gives people the confidence to develop as individuals, I see it all the time at Meetings and Rallies, people who just a few short months ago were too shy to make eye contact, get the microphone, they conquer their fears and speak to an audience of a thousand people!

In this fast paced world, where people are under increasing pressure in the work place, and where there is a lack of belonging or community, people feel as if they can hardly cope with life.

They become reactive and essentially give up hoping that the things that happen to them in the future will be good. They become defensive and closed minded about the possibility that there may be an alternative.

To become a great leader, we must take personal responsibility to create an environment within our own team that is inclusive and welcoming. We must recognize that the differences in people, is what leads to a greater opportunity for us to develop as leaders, as we learn to understand people better.

When people get a sense of belonging, they can do great things, and they grow as individuals, sometimes beyond recognition,

It is wonderful when the people believe in their leader, but it Is more wonderful when the leader believes in the people” J. Paul Getty.

Take time to make sure you create a supportive environment for everybody in your team, one in which they can achieve whatever it is they desire, In so doing, you will not only be a great leader, but will also achieve your goals.

A Tour of Facebook Live – Getting Started

So you’ve heard the buzz and the excitement and you want to get involved with Facebook Live. This is a great decision no doubt and one that can give you a great edge over your competition while helping you to connect with your audience in whole new ways.

All that’s left to do is to get started! So the questions is: how do you use the new tool? What tricks do you need to know? And what features are there to take advantage of?

Getting Started

Getting started fortunately couldn’t be easier. Simply open up your Android or iOS Facebook app and then find the box you would normally type in to post new content. When you click this, you will be presented with a number of additional options along the bottom which include posting a picture or a video. And now you also have the option to post live videos – which is represented by an icon that looks like a person with radio waves emanating from their head.

Click this and you will be taken to a new screen where you can enter a description for your video, or where you can decide who gets to see the content. If you chose to post from your Facebook page, then the video will automatically be public meaning that anyone can watch it either from the Facebook Live Map or if they find your page/see your post in their homefeed.

If you posted the video in a private group meanwhile, then it will be visible only to that private group by default. And if you posted from your personal Facebook page, you can choose very specifically who you want to share your videos with.

The only other options on the page at this point are the option to switch between front-facing and rear cameras and the option to go live when you’re ready!

Going live

Once you’re live, you simply talk into the camera and aim it where you want it. Note that you can see comments left by viewers as well as their ‘reactions’ which may be a ‘like’ a ‘love’ or another expression. You can also see how many people are viewing and when someone new joins in. It’s a good idea to mention people as they tune in as it can help them to feel more involved and increase the intimacy and engagement of your videos!

The Benefits of Network Marketing – 3 Top Reasons Why Network Marketing Rocks

Let’s face it, there are a lot of mixed feelings when it comes to network marketing. Some people love it and some people hate it but in this article, we are going to talk about the 3 top reasons network marketing rocks.

Time Freedom

When you are a MLM professional, you are able to set your own hours. You can work when you want to work and shut your cell phone off whenever you choose not to work. You can spend time working on the beach or in any part of the world that you want since you have the ability to travel and still have your business.

Residual Income

Residual income is work you do something for once and then you just keep getting paid over and over again. Whenever you get team members and customers that are buying and selling products every single month, you have residual income and that is very powerful.

Leverage

Being able to build a team in network marketing enables you to build leverage. When one of your team members is working and you aren’t there, that is leverage. Being able to have something done when you are not there is what the goal is so the more leaders you help develop, the better.

As you can tell, network marketing has many great benefits and there are more that could be listed but these are the top three that always get me excited. Building a network marketing business to the top may not be easy but the rewards are plentiful. It is possible for anyone to be able to achieve their dreams with this amazing profession.

How to Grow Your Audience on Facebook Live

Once you try creating content for Facebook Live, you will very quickly recognize just how great the format is for really connecting with your audience and offering something different and more exciting compared with your competition.

And once you realize that, you’ll no doubt want to ensure that your content is seen by as many people as possible. This is why it’s so important to start building your viewership and making sure you have as large an audience as possible. And after all, isn’t that the MO of any internet marketer?

So the question then becomes: how do you go about growing your audience on Facebook and getting more people to read your content? Let’s take a shot at answering that question…

Social Media Marketing

Anyone who follows your Facebook Page should be able to see your live content on their home feed. And happily, Facebook has commented that its algorithm puts live content above most other types of content. Thus, the easiest way to get more people to see your videos is to grow your following for your page. And the way you do that is the way you handle any social media marketing: by building your brand across multiple channels and making sure that you are consistently offering high quality and establishing yourself as an authority.

Facebook Ads

You can also use Facebook Advertising to build more likes for your page. And actually, the best way to do this is with ‘CPA’ or ‘Cost Per Action’. This means you only pay when someone takes action through your advert and in this case, that can mean liking your page.

If you can work out how many of your followers see your video and how many of your viewers buy your products, you can then calculate a budget for your CPA ads and actually guarantee a good ROI! CPA combined with Facebook targeting is one of the very best ways to grow your audience.

Use the Right Description

As with the title of a link, the description of your video is one of the only influencing factors you have to work with. Your aim is to make your video stand out and grab attention in a way that will make people curious!

Invite People to Follow

Some people will find your videos through friends or through the Facebook Live Map. Make sure that you invite them to follow you so you can turn those first-time viewers into long-term fans!

Supercharge Your Motivation

It was said to me recently by a Family Member “What right do I have to try and MOTIVATE others when I am one of the biggest Negative People around”.

That really hurt me and I did try and reply them back, but that look, that reply that feeling, knocked me for six.

It got me to thinking what right do i have. Well let me share with you MY RIGHT TO MOTIVATE.

I have struggled all through my life, I have seen the worse in people and I have seen the Joy in people. I’ve gone without and I have gone hungry. I have had everyone around me but no one beside me, I have stood on my own when everyone was or is against me, I did what I wanted to do even when others put me down, spoke down to me, slated me and told me I wasn’t worth it.

Even though where I started in life to where I am now is a Journey that NOT many people will do. Now I look around and I see the life that I, ME, MYSELF have provided for my family. They did not do this, I did it. MY Desire for change, for knowledge, to be better than I was last month. That has kept me moving forward.

I can look back on my life and use what has happened as a lesson, as a story to help others. I share my experience, I share my heart break and sadness and every time that I do I move a step further in my journey.

Where I am today, is not where I will be in a Years Time. When I say that I don’t mean in physical location, what I mean is, in me. Mentally where I am.

Everyone of us has the RIGHT to Motivate or to HELP someone, we all experience different events in our life. You might not think it but your story is important, if not to you then to someone else.

Don’t ever think you are the ONLY Person going through what you are. Millions of others are going through it as well and they all want that ONE Person to say – Where ever you want to go you will get there.

How dare anyone, no matter if it is loved ones, uplines, managers, employees, employers, co-workers, tell you that you do not have the right to Motivate. Admittingly through experience comes wisdom, reading a book and then repeating the book word for word is not perfect, but it gives you a foundation to start with.

If I didn’t experience what I did when I was growing up, I wouldn’t have thought to myself I want to be better or I want change. My journey started with a Thought, and guess what?

We ALL Have the power of Thought. That must mean we all have the power to better ourselves.

It Starts With YOU

Motivation is the driving force behind life-enhancing change. It comes from knowing exactly what you want to do and having an insatiable, burning desire to do what’s necessary to get it. It keeps your dream on track as it is the power of motivation that keeps you going when the going gets tough.

Here’s a few tips to help you supercharge your motivation:

  1. Create a picture board and fill it with images of your desired goals. The car you want to own, the house you want to live in, the area where you want to live yes, they’re the obvious ones. Others could be pictures of holiday destinations, trophies, first-class travel tickets, clothes you want to buy, fine restaurants you want to frequent – whatever you can think of that gets your pulse racing.
  2. GET ANGRY. If you want to change your life for the better then get angry about where you’re at now. Having a blasé attitude towards change isn’t what’s needed and it won’t create a strong desire within you. So ask: “Why do I want to change?” Is it because you’re FED UP with debts? Does your job DRIVE YOU CRAZY? Is your life DULL AND PRECITABLE? Are you SICK AND TIRED of doing the same thing week in week out? Are you BORED BEYOND BELIEF by the dull, uninspiring, unhappy people you associate with? THEN GET ANGRY ABOUT IT. And I mean REAL ANGRY. Write it all down, all of the frustrating, unrewarding, miserable lot of it that makes every day a dull slog until your final days. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?
  3. Speaking of your final days, start to appreciate the value of time. Time is one of the most precious resources you have and it is also a NON RENEWABLE resource. You can either use it fully or squander it. If you want to create change you’re going to have to invest a lot of time to make it happen. Start to reduce the time you waste on irrelevancies: Television, newspapers, lie-ins, weekends spent shopping, partying, dining out, visiting an endless line of relatives and friends – these won’t help you get what you want and all of them will rob time from you. Valuable time that you can use much more effectively by investing it in YOU. Remember this: You have a finite amount of time here on Earth. You don’t know how much time you have – no one does. But it’s how you use the time you have that counts. So make your time count and that means starting from right NOW.
  4. Conformity. Are you a mindless little sheep who’s way too timid to pursue your own way? Do you have to follow where everyone else goes, doing exactly what everyone else does and therefore, who gets the same levels of happiness as all the other little sheep? Seriously, does this describe YOU? Are you too frightened to be different than all of the other sheep because they wouldn’t like it if you decided to follow a different path? So you dutifully trot along following all the other sheep because if they’re doing it then that’s how it is right? But if you do what everyone else does you’ll just get what everyone else gets. Do you want to be a mindless, timid little sheep who blindly follows all the other sheep? Or do you want to be a leader, a warrior who possesses the courage to be uniquely you and to do what you want to do and make your dreams happen? If so then this means you have to be more like a tiger than a sheep. Do you really want to be a sheep? I mean, haven’t we got enough sheep already?
  5. Fear your fear. Fear is the force that is determined to stop you in your tracks and rob your dreams from you. But it can only do this if you let it. Are you going to let this cruel destructive charlatan trample on your dreams, steal your happiness and crush your spirit? Imagine this thought haunting your final days: “I didn’t do the things I wanted because I was too frightened to live”. And by then, it’ll be far too late to conquer fear. Refuse to let fear spoil your life and start taking action – now!

The world is waiting for your unique gifts. Why keep it waiting any longer?

Why StartUps Have More Focus and Drive Than Their Competitors

If you have ever Google’d leadership or looked it up on YouTube, then there’s a fair chance that you will have come across the concept of the ‘Golden Circle’. This is essentially a theory that suggests the most effective leaders are the ones that really believe in what they’re doing. They know why they’re doing what they’re doing and this helps them to be that much more committed and enthusiastic – things that will come across to their audience.

But this concept can be applied more broadly than just in the boardroom. That’s because the question of ‘why’ is also something that can motivate an entire team – and it ties in nicely with separate research being carried out into the startup culture and why it is so successful.

What Startup Culture Has to Do With Why

If you look at Silicone Valley, then it might appear that something very unique is happening here. That is, that countless new businesses are being born every day and many of them are shifting paradigms and changing the way we interact with technology. What’s going on?

There are lots of theories but one argument is that startups experience more ‘flow’ than other businesses and that this is what makes them more effective.

What is Flow?

Flow – or ‘flow states’ – describe a particular state of mind in which an individual is incredibly focussed and alert – so much so that they actually lose track of everything else going on around them – even the passage of time!

This in turn leads to a situation where they are able to react faster, to make better decisions and to completely involve themselves with the matter in hand. In neuroscience the state is called ‘temporohypofrontality’ and it is in some ways similar to a fight or flight response.

So when does this happen? Simple: when we are completely committed to what we are doing. When we believe in it 100% and we love it. That means we think something is incredibly important but not life threatening.

This is what happens when a startup truly believes in what it is doing.

And this is why startups change the world while old, stuffy businesses stay stagnant.

If you want to become a great leader and you want to inspire your team, you need to sell them on the vision of what you’re doing. You need to make them excited and you need to explain why it matters.

The Top Benefits of Live Video for Marketers

Live video is currently an exciting topic among technologists and futurists and it’s widely expected that it will play a big role in the way we communicate online going forward.

And for marketers, live video is also very exciting. That’s because it presents us with an entirely new audience to market ourselves to, an entirely new way to interact with them and more. Read on to learn the very best benefits that live video has from a marketer’s perspective.

Engagement

Live video is excellent for engagement and allows you to reach your viewers in a way that will feel much more personal, intimate and direct.

There are a number of reasons for this. Firstly, the fact that the video is live means that your viewers feel as though you’re talking directly to them. Secondly, the fact that they can interact via comments and that you can respond to them means that they can actually have a live discussion with you. If you’re reviewing a product or conducting an AMA, you can actually answer questions right then and there!

Excitement

Another of the biggest benefits of Facebook Live is that it feels incredibly new and exciting. That is to say, that associating yourself with live video streaming is something that will instantly make your personal brand, or your company, seem a lot more forward thinking.

Lack of Competition

In fact, Facebook Live is so new right now that there is hardly any competition there at all. This is a new exciting format that people can’t wait to check out – but when they view the Facebook Live Map there’s often hardly anything there to watch.

What does this mean? It means that you can create live video and almost every time you stream, you’ll come away with brand new followers and subscribers. This makes growing your audience incredibly easy!

You Can Build Hype

A live video is an event. What’s more, this is an interactive event. If you’re good at building excitement and anticipation then, you can make this into something that your audience can’t wait for and you can get them counting down the days. By making your audience have to wait, you can effectively increase the excitement and anticipation by a large margin! And actually, this sort of content works particularly well if you’re building a sales funnel and you need a seminar to increase your engagement.

A Guide to The Different Types of Sugar

Coca leaves were used for centuries in their natural state to chew on or to make tea. This was normal and there were no issues. But, then they were highly processed and turned into a dangerous and addictive drug known as cocaine.

The innocent poppy flower suffered the same fate. Formerly a safe and effective tea, often used for relaxation and pain, it got super-processed and became a powerful, dangerous and addictive opiate.

Sugar first starts out as sugar cane – a healthy stalking plant. Used in its natural form you can’t consume enough to make you sick. But super-concentrated and processed it becomes like a drug. In fact, with lab rats, sugar outperformed cocaine as the drug of choice.

It’s important to know that there are various types of sugar, some natural and some very processed – to the point that even if they started natural, they are no longer natural.

  • Fructose – Don’t get confused by the word. While fructose is derived from fruit, it’s gone through processing that makes it a highly-concentrated form of sugar. This type of fructose should really be called “industrial fructose”. Eating fructose from natural fruit is not unsafe and should not be avoided. Once processed, though, it becomes something else entirely and causes a lot of health problems.
  • Glucose – This is sugar that’s in your blood. You get it from natural plant foods such as carbohydrates, fruits, and vegetables, especially starchy ones. It’s one of the most important medications and very readily available in nature. It supplies almost all the energy to the brain. It’s important for metabolic health, respiration and more. If you want to be able to think clearly, you must have the right amount of glucose. Glucose is created industrially by using starchy plants like corn, rice, wheat, and other ingredients.
  • Lactose – Found in milk, it’s made from galactose and glucose. Industrially it’s produced as a by-product of the dairy industry. Most humans produce lactase to help digest this type of sugar far into adulthood. But some people, especially from eastern and south-eastern Asia and some parts of Africa cannot properly digest this type of sugar in adulthood.
  • Maltose – This sugar is found in the germination process as the seeds break down their starch stores for food to sprout and grow. This type of sugar can cause many intolerances as well as weight gain, kidney stones and more. However, eating it in its natural form such as in sweet potatoes, soybeans, barley and wheat (other than those who suffer from celiac) is healthy.
  • Sucrose – This type of sugar comes from cane and beets. Modern processing can make it look just like table sugar. Before it’s been processed it has a lot of health benefits, vitamins, and minerals. Honey is mostly fructose and glucose with trace amounts of sucrose.

As you see, most sugars start in a very natural state and aren’t bad in their natural and most whole form until they undergo super-processing. It’s the super-processing that’s bad for you, because it makes natural sugars into highly addictive drug-like substances.
