Leverage Your Customers To Grow Your Reach

If you have a good product and you take care of your customers, you will quickly build a loyal following and attract a group of people who love what you do and aren’t shy about telling others about you and the products you have to offer. This type of word-of-mouth advertising is one of the best ways to grow your reach and your business.

While some customers will start to recommend you to others on their own, others need a little encouragement from time to time. Here are a few different things you can do via email to get your customer to help you grow your business and make more sales.

Ask Them To Share Your Content On Social Media

One of the easiest things to do is to invite your customers to share any content you create via social media, or email it to colleagues and friends. You’d be amazed to find out how many people have no idea that it’s ok to share a blog post, article, or free short report with others.

Whenever you come out with a quality new piece of content, email it to your customers and ask them to share it. Since almost everyone is on various social media sites these days, and we’re all emailing all day long, your content can reach quite a few new people.

Invite Them To Recommend You To Others

Get in the habit of following up with your customers about the products they purchase. Make sure they are happy and know how to download or use what they’ve bought. Answer any questions they may have and do what you can to help them out. In other words, make sure your customers are happy. Then call in a favour and ask them to recommend you to others who may benefit from the products and services you have to offer.

Set Up An Affiliate Program To Reward Your Customers

Last but not least, consider setting up an affiliate program so you can monetarily reward your customers for the referrals they make. This works particularly well in a business to business scenario and is of course common practice in the online marketing world.

With an affiliate program, your customers (and other affiliates who want to promote you) get a special tracking link that records any customers and sales they send your way. You set a commission and pay your affiliates a percentage of the sales they generate. It’s a great way to drum up new business and grow your reach.

Planning Products for Multiple Sales So You Can Promote Them In Your Emails

Marketing In Your Emails

Interesting fact: It’s a lot easier to do Multiple Sales to an existing customer than it is to find a new one. Keeping that in mind, it only makes sense then to plan out a product funnel that allows people to make multiple purchases from you. Instead of focusing all your time and energy in going out and finding new potential customers, you can instead focus on creating new products and serving your existing customer base.

I’m not saying you can stop looking for new customers. That’s always a smart business practice. I’m simply saying that if you create a series of related products that you can sell to your existing customer base, you can make quite a bit more profit from every single customer.

There are a few different ways to think about this. Let’s run through them and you can pick whatever strategy you think will work best for you, your business, and your customer base when it comes to planning future products.

Step By Step Product Funnel

With this product planning strategy, you help your customers or students do one thing with the first product. For the next one you then think about what they need to do next. For example, let’s say you start with product about writing your first kindle book. Your next product could teach them how to create a cover and upload it to Amazon. The one after that may be all about marketing a kindle book etc.

You see how this works. Each product builds on the next and it makes perfect sense for your customers to work through the first, then buy the second, and third, and so forth. Each product is designed to help the take the next step until they reach their final goal.

Creating Related Products On Similar Topics

If a step by step product funnel doesn’t make sense for your market, you can create products on closely related topics. For example, if you’ve been teaching someone how to blog, you could then create products on email marketing, and info product creation. As with the previous example, it makes it easy to mail your existing customer list with offers like this.

Creating Consumable Products Or Membership Sites For Frequent Sales

Last but not least, think about products or services you can create that your customers would buy again and again. Let’s say you’re a writer and you’re offering ghost writing service. You could create an offer to write 10 articles on any topic for a set fee. You could then keep marketing that offer month after month and your clients will buy anytime they need a new set of articles.

Membership sites are another great option for multiple sales. Maybe there’s a new topic you can teach each month, or some templates and cheat sheets you can create for your members.

Take a look at all three strategies for creating more products that you can sell to your customer base. Feel free to mix and match as you see fit. Then get to work creating marketing new products on a regular basis.

James Reilly Valentus Testimonial

TESTIMONIAL FROM JAMES REILLY

Here is a Testimonial From ME James Reilly. When I started on the SlimROAST Italian it was pimped to me as eat what you want and drink the coffee to lose weight. That is WRONG. The SlimROAST Italian is a means to a better self control. That will aid you in your weight loss journey.

MY JOURNEY

We moved down to where I live now so that I could die. Every Year I got worse. I am a Type 1 Diabetic. I got a phone call from the Dr on a SAT he told me to go in NOW. I went in and he talked about kidney transplants and making sure that i had everything in order because life was going to get bad.

I told my Girlfriend at the time, she phoned her mum and the next day her mum explained to us that we were getting married and it was happening in 3 months.

Then my diabetes got worse and I had to stop working, we got a call from her mum again and we moved down to the Isle of Wight. The thought process was if and when James dies, it’s important that you have family around you.

We live on the Isle of Wight. Diabetes took it’s toll and each review destroyed me a bit more.

One day my daughter came back from school, she was in a crazy temper, This was my sweet little baby girl, she was 5 at the time. My biggest fear came true, She was Diagnosed that day with Type 1 Diabetes.

You can imagine the guilt, the depression and the fear. My daughter and I grew apart because of it, I got angry and very low. BUT I had to change, this was no longer my problem and I didn’t want her to go down the route I was in.

I went on the X-PERT Diabetes Course. My Diet changed then, my insulin changed then, I changed, but it wasn’t enough, i was still having bad reviews every 6 months.

I didn’t know what to do to help me. I went down to the Chemist and looked at their Supplements. They were in the range of £30 up to £150. They were Tablets, shakes and silly meal plans, I didn’t want that. Then a friend said TRY THIS, #slimroast, and i said NO. He was on it from March 2015, Eventually after seeing his results i gave in. Not to get on the program but to shut him up.

In August 2015 I started on SlimRoast Coffee. I had just had my diabetic review 2 months before and it was bad. My next review was in Dec 2015. The Nurse was in shock, my control was brilliant but not perfect, my HBA1c was going down, something it hadn’t done ever. I was awake and more alert.

She said what ever you are doing, keep on doing it. I went from Trying it, To Buying a BOX to setting up my loyalty purchase at 3 boxes a month.
Every Review that I have had since Feb 2016 has been better than the last.

MY DAUGHTER MY REASON

My Daughter who has Type 1 as well. She is now 12 years old, she was the TOP of all her SPORTS Classes in primary school, she is now in Secondary school and hitting teenage years, so its going to be a challenge.

I never got into Valentus as a business. It wasn’t meant to be. BUT it changed my life so much so that now I actually have one. Not only that I have a Future to work towards and create. Valentus is doing that for me and allowing me the freedom to do it.

The Email Equivalent of an Open Door Policy

You’ve heard of an “open door” policy, right? You may even have come across a boss, manager, or teacher with that policy in place. If so, you know first-hand that this changes the culture of the work place, helps you build a much stronger relationship with that person, and that it creates a tremendous amount of trust and cooperation. In other words, an open-door policy can be a very positive thing.

Why not adapt it to your online business? At first glance you may be wondering how this could possibly be done, but it is actually very simple via email. Throughout your mailings, starting on day 1, encourage readers to hit reply and ask you a question, share story, contribute a tip etc. In other words, encourage your subscribers to engage with you.

At first glance this may sound like a way to create a lot more un-productive work for yourself, but hang in there. There’s method to the madness. The first thing I want you to realize is that you don’t all of a sudden get swamped in emails. Few people will take you up on the offer in any given email and it won’t take you long to reply to each messages.

When you do, however, some pretty amazing things start to happen. You get to know your ideal customers and clients much better. That means you can write better emails and higher converting copy for everyone else on your list. It also gives you a chance to build a much better relationship with those highly-interested people on your list. And guess what… chances are good that they will turn out to be your best customers. Isn’t that alone worth spending a few minutes a day responding to emails?

Give it a try and you’ll notice something else that will happen. Content creation suddenly becomes a lot easier. You don’t have to try hard to figure out what to blog or write about anymore. No more guessing what would make a great topic for your next info product or book. Because you’re constantly “talking” to your customer base, you know exactly what they need and what they are looking for. They are sharing their problems and objections with you and it won’t take you long before you start to see common trends and what they will need to know next to reach their goals. That information is priceless and it will help you take your online business to the next level, no matter what niche you’re in.

The Importance of Setting and Meeting Expectations In Email Marketing

Have you ever been so excited about an email that you couldn’t wait for it to hit your inbox? You end up checking your email every 15 minutes to make sure you didn’t miss it. That kind of excitement is wonderful and it is something to strive for in your own email marketing.

While you may not be able to create that amount of excitement and interest with all your emails, there are some things you can do to create a little buzz and get your subscribers looking for your emails. Part of it is of course to deliver great content and share things they are very interested in. Part of it creating buzz and anticipation by using foreshadowing in your emails. This simply means that you tease them about what’s coming in the next email from you.

By far, the most important thing you can do to ensure your readers are looking for your emails is to set and then meet expectations in your email marketing. You want your readers to get an idea for how often you’ll be emailing them. If you are sending your emails out newsletter style, tell them what day of the week they should look for your next issue. If you’re setting up auto-responder messages, let them know you’ll share a new tip with them every day for the next week. Then at the end of that email series, share what they can expect to happen next. For example, you can let them know that you’ll be emailing about once a week. That’s setting email delivery expectations.

You can also set expectations for the type of content they can expect in emails from you. This can be very helpful in training your readers on what to look for from you. Ideally you want to share a mix of helpful content and offers for products and services your readers may be interested in. Letting them know that you will mix the two and will only promote products you’ve tried yourself for example, or have made sure are of high quality and will be helpful to them, can go a long way towards building trust and not sounding pushy or “salesy”.

Once you’ve set those expectations, your most important job will then be to meet and even exceed them. If you’ve promised your readers a new email every Wednesday morning, make sure that happens. If you promised to share a case study for using a particular product the following week, make sure that happens. Yes, life will get in the way, and yes, there will be times when you can’t keep your promise…. But do what you can to meet and exceed the expectations you’ve set with your readers. Really thing of it as a promise you made them that you don’t want to break unless absolutely necessary.

Doing this will create a lot of trust, and loyalty with your readers. If they learn that you’re a trustworthy person and they can take your word at face value, they will be that much more likely to take you up on any product offers and will go from subscribers to happy customers who will buy from you again and again… and that my friend is the key to email marketing success

Networking Is More Than Just Handing Out Business Cards

At a Chamber of Commerce Business Card Exchange several years ago a well-dress woman walked up to me, business card in hand and, in perfect form held it in both hands in front of me, gesturing for me to take it. I took the card from her and smiled. She looked up and in a polite voice, said “Thank you,” and walked away. How sad. Here was this obviously well-intentioned woman, who most likely owned an interesting business but never learned what to do at a card exchange. Somewhere she bought into the idea that you were suppose to hand out as many business cards in as little time as possible. Clearly, this does nothing but waste business cards. Great for card businesses, not so great for yours.

The other extreme is the person who spends the entire time at a card exchange talking to the same individual, sometimes even people from their own company. Again, this is quite unproductive. The purpose of a business card exchange is to get to meet new people in a pleasant atmosphere.

While there are many good books to help you hone your networking skills including, Sue Roane’s How to Work a Room, the essence of networking is quite simple.

Businesses run on relationships. I’ve always felt that everything that we do is about personal relationships and a business just gives us a playing field on which to do it.

Following that theme, growing your business is about developing and nurturing relationships and card exchanges and similar networking events are really the starting point to begin what will hopefully become a mutually rewarding relationship.

Since your time is limited, it is a good idea to spend only a short time speaking with people, especially those you already know. If you feel a resonance with someone you’re talking with, make arrangements to follow-up your connection at a later date and move on to meet someone else. I’m sure the shy looking person in the corner, who is probably there for the very first time, has something interesting to say. Why not go over and extend your hand.

The other big faux paus I see over and over again, are the people who approach the networking meeting with a “me, me, me” attitude. A better approach is to learn about the other person first. You then have the option of explaining how what you do might be of interest to them. This establishes a stronger platform for communications, for as speaking legend Zig Zigler says, “You get what you want by helping other people get what they want.”

Care about the other person

There are better ways to network and meet prospective business contacts. For openers, (no pun intended) people are more responsive if you first show some interest in them and what they do. There is an old cliché that says we have one mouth and two ears for a reason. If you listen more than you talk, you will automatically find people more interested in talking with you and being around you.

Marketing guru, Jay Abraham, once said that “Discovery is the fuel of competitive advantage.” Get curious. Become interested in other people and what makes them tick. Really care about the other person. If you take the time to investigate, you will find that even those people who appear quite ordinary have a story to tell. If you show an interest in them and their lives, you will not only increase your chances of doing business with them but you may gain a friend as well.

How do you do that?

When you do introduce yourself, do so in a way that states the benefit of doing business with you. Saying “Hi, my name is Mary and I sell insurance” is not very exciting. However, if you were to say, “My name is Mary and I help people prepare for the uncertainty that may be in their future.” This causes the other person, if they are at all curious, to ask, “How do you do that?” At this point, you have opened the door for a further explanation or “commercial” for your business. You can go on to explain the benefits of your products and services.

As an exercise, devise three or four ways to introduce your business. Let each one focus on a different benefit of your product or service. Test each of them at your next networking event.

Remember: people do not buy products or services, they buy benefits and solutions.

The more you focus on communicating the benefits gained from using your products or services, the more you will benefit from the increase in business.

With prospecting new business becoming more and more difficult, a personal relationship is even more important and the Chamber of Commerce Card Exchange offers the perfect playground for you do it, besides the food is usually pretty good too.

Different Ways To Get Your Existing Customers Buying More

The most valuable list you can build as an online marketer is your customer list. On average, you will see much higher sales rates when you’re emailing an offer to a customer list than if you send that same email to a free subscriber list. It only makes sense then to email your existing customers on a regular basis to get them to buy again and again.

Email Your Customers About New Product Launches

The first and most obvious thing to do is to email your customer list anytime you launch a new product. Keep your current customers in mind as you think about creating new products and service. What can you create or offer to serve them and help them reach that next step. What do they need to reach your goals?

When you take the time to create products that serve your current customer base, you should see high conversion rates anytime you email that list with a new offer.

Set Up Special Deals For Your Customers

Show your customers how much you appreciate them by setting up special deals for things you already have in your product funnel. Look through the products you’ve created in the past and either create a special coupon for your customer list, or create a low cost bundle of a few related products. Not only will your customers get a great deal, you’re also showing them how much they are appreciated.

Promote Related Affiliate Products

If you only have one product, or you’re running out of other things of yours that are a good fit for your customer list, look around for related affiliate products. Do the legwork for them and find the best products and deals for your customers. Not only are you doing a great service to them, you’re growing your income at the same time. As an added side benefit, you may make connections with other marketers who will in turn promote you to their customer lists.

Create Upsells And One Time Offers When Someone Buys A Product

To instantly put more money in the bank with every sale you make, consider adding an upsell or one time offer to your sales funnel. The basic idea is that once a customer gets through purchasing product “A”, he comes to an offer for product “B” at a discounted rate. You want to make sure the offers are closely related and you’re promoting something your customers could also use. If they pass it up, you can follow up a day or two later via email, extending the offer one last time. Overall you should see a fair percentage of customers taking you up on the offer, thus increasing your income and the dollar amount you make per new customer on average.

How To Strike A Balance Between Free Content And Paid Offers

Successful email marketing is a balancing act between sharing quality free content that shows your readers that you know what you’re talking about and keeps them on your list, and offers for paid products, so you can earn a living. Let’s talk about how you can find that balance, and come up with a successful email marketing strategy.

I wish there was an easy, fail-safe formula I could share with you that would tell you exactly when to send free content, and when to make an offer, and even when to combine the two. The truth is that there is no such formula. While I’ve developed a system and some rough guidelines that work well for me in my niche and for my email list, they likely won’t work for you. Plus things change over time. You’ll use a very different schedule now than you will a few years down the road. Things change, readers change, and what they expect from your business will change.

The question then is where do you start and what do you do to find your own personal balance between sharing free content and paid offers? The first thing you need to realize is that you set a lot of expectations by what you’re currently doing. If you’re mostly sharing lots of great helpful free content, that’s what your readers expect right now. You have to change those expectations slowly. Add a few offers here and there and occasionally send out a solo email. Don’t push too hard. Give your readers time to adjust and gradually get them used to the idea of seeing offers. Point out the benefits of this to them. Yes, your main goal may be to make money, but you’re also handpicking and evaluating products and services for them. Show your readers how this benefits them. Over time, get them used to seeing more and more offers.

If you’re starting out with a new list, start making offers from day one. Mix them up with helpful free content, but don’t be afraid to make a sale from the beginning. Then start experimenting and paying attention to your stats. Try mixing more solo emails in with your free content ones, or combine a helpful tip with an offer for a related product. What makes the most sense business wise? You want to strike a balance between sharing great content and making money. Sometimes ending less solo emails makes more sense because it helps you grow your list and keep your readers from unsubscribing. In the long run, sending one solo email per week instead of two or three may make more sense. But you won’t know until you try and track your stats, click through rates, unsubscribes, and sales.

Growing Your Affiliate Checks

The main reason behind this growing popularity of affiliate marketing is the fact that affiliate marketing is thought to be some kind of business in which you don’t need to do anything and you can earn huge amounts of money overnight. What you need to do is just to place the ads of merchants on your website and when a visitor clicks on it, you are paid. So, literally you don’t have to do anything. But are you really sure about it?

If you think that you can earn money without doing anything then please come out of dreams. There is nothing in the world which can be had for nothing. You have to put effort towards it. Affiliate marketing is first and foremost a form of marketing and as such you need to market the product of your merchants. You need to do something to make people visit your website and then to induce them to click on the affiliate links so that you may earn commissions.

We are going to have a look at some of the steps that you can take to be a successful affiliate marketer. These steps would help you in having continuous and increasing affiliate checks.

The first thing that you must do is to gain a thorough understanding of the product that you are planning to endorse.

You can start by purchasing the product and then gaining a first hand experience of using the product. If you cannot purchase the product you should find all the details about the product. It will give credibility to your endorsement.

It is always a good idea to host your own website or to have a short domain name which can be easily remembered. If you can, do create a private website and link it to ads for others to click on. In addition to that private websites also allow you to promote your back end affiliate programs.

Most of the affiliates use the ads given by the merchants but you can also use your own ads. You just need to get it confirmed by your merchants. In this way, you would have an edge over your competitors who would be promoting the same ads. You can also make use of chat rooms, discussion boards and forums to promote your products. These platforms can be a very good place to learn new techniques and methods of marketing your products.

You can make use of free newsletters and ezines to promote your products. The newsletters and ezines need not contain your promotion but may contain links to your site or the site of the merchants. This proves a very effective way of promoting your product. You should also promote the ezines and newsletters on your website.

These were a few simple guidelines to grow your affiliate checks but these are not the only ones. You need to develop your own techniques pertinent to your own circumstances.

The 3 Phases of Small Talk In my mind, small talk basically consists of 3 phases: The ice breaker

Get to know you better

Graceful exit

So let’s go ahead and briefly touch on each phase and in turn give you some concrete takeaway strategies that you can apply immediately for each. Phase 1: The Ice Breaker So you attend a networking event… you make eye contact with someone you want to meet, you approach them and introduce yourself… now what? Well having a few powerful, open-ended ice breaker questions should certainly do the trick. For example: A tried and true ice breaker is the proverbial, “So Jeff, what do you do?” In other words “Jeff, what business are you in? Now people love talking about themselves and their business so the idea here is to get them started talking. Most people also love to hear the sound of their own voice so the ice breaker question is critical and essentially sets the tone and potential for the conversation.

Another good ice breaker could be, “So Jeff, what brings you here today?”

Now notice on these sample ice breaker questions I’ve repeated the person’s name. First off by doing this it will help burn that person’s name into my head so I don’t forget it. Secondly, people love the sound of their own name – so don’t be afraid to use it throughout your conversation. Phase 2: Get To Know You Better Depending on the results of the ice breaker questions you should by now be able to determine whether or not it makes sense to get to know this person better. If not, simply skip this phase and go into your graceful exit. But if you do see a synergy here, by all means try some of these again open-ended, getting to know you better questions: So Jeff, how did you get into that business?

What types of challenges keep you up at night?

Jeff, help me out here, draw me a mental picture, what does success look like for you and your business?

What’s new in your industry these days? Any events or trends that are shaping it?

Now you can use one, two, all of these questions, or more if the situation permits. However, be careful here not to dominate and monopolize someone’s time. If you’re at a networking event, there’s a good chance that they’re there to network and meet other people as well, so it may make sense to go to the graceful exit phase and encourage that you two get together in the near future. Phase 3: Graceful Exit It’s vastly important how you leave a conversation – as this is the last impression you make on that person. We’re not looking to create any animosity here by rudely blowing someone off. The key here is as this phase’s title states, is to exit gracefully. A key difference between the types of questions or statements you make in this phase as opposed to the previous two phases is that now you shift to using close-ended ones. For example: Introduce the person to someone else that may be of interest to them and then politely excuse yourself. The dialogue can go something like this: “Hey Cindy I’d like you to meet Jeff. Jeff’s in the xyz industry as well and I just felt that you two should meet.” Now they exchange pleasantries and you immediately exit the conversation by saying something like, “Well you two probably have a bunch to talk about. Cindy I’ll catch up with you later and Jeff, it was great meeting you.”

Another example of a graceful exit may be: I can certainly see some synergy between what you and I do. Can I give you a call next week to set up some time to talk further?

Or, it’s been great meeting you, will I see you at future meetings?

And lastly, wow, this is quite an event don’t you think? Well we should probably keep moving… it was great meeting you Jeff!

So now you’re aware of and armed with some actual strategies for the 3 phases of small talk. The key now is to get in the game and practice, practice, practice and you too can see the results you would like for your business.

Soy Candle Crafts

Making your own candles is very popular. It has always been done with paraffin wax or beeswax. Soy candles are starting to emerge on the market as well. Soy candles are made out of 100% natural soy wax without any additives. Candles made of soy wax will have a wonderful aroma without having any type of fragrance added. Expert soy candle makers know how to mix the soy wax in several ways that give the natural scent a bit of a difference as well as make in fainter or more powerful.

Soy candles can be made with or without wicks. Those with wicks are used the same way as any regular candle out there. Soy candles without wicks work with electric candle warmers. The candle sits on the warmer plate and the warmer is plugged into the wall. There is no flame to cause a fire. Wickless soy candles are a great choice for dorm rooms, apartments, offices, and anywhere that there is a potential of a candle being left burning that can cause a fire. Many offices and dorm rooms have put a ban on burning candles for this reason, but they often do allow the wickless candles using the burners.

Most candle makers who have tried soy wax are very happy with the results. It has a wonder natural scent and the texture of the melted wax makes candles that are very glossy and smooth. It is not necessary to add additives to soy wax as you often have to with paraffin and beeswax. The additives for those types of wax are for hardness and gloss. Soy wax offers both on its own.

Soy wax is cheaper than other types of wax as well. If you want to make candles on a tight budget, this would be the way to go. You will save money on the wax and you won’t need to purchase additives or scents. If you are planning to make soy candles to sell, you can make a higher profit because your costs are lower. If you aren’t sure, you can purchase a soy wax candle making kit online for less than $20. It comes with all the supplies you need to make five candles, including the jars and lids.

Many people enjoy the scent of a burning candle, but find the smoke from them can be irritating. This is especially true of individuals who are on oxygen, have bronchitis, or even allergy sufferers. Since soy wax is all natural, there is no smoke or irritates in the air from it. This makes soy wax candles a great alternative for many who otherwise wouldn’t be able to enjoy using candles.

Candle making is an excellent craft that many individuals enjoy both as a hobby and as a home business. Soy wax is not used as commonly as paraffin or beeswax, yet it works just as well for candle making. Since soy wax is less expensive and very easy to work with, consider trying it. Soy wax melts faster as well, reducing your overall production time. Soy wax is not carried in all craft stores, but you can easily purchase it on line in amounts from three pounds to fifty pounds. The more you buy, the less you will pay per pound, giving you additional savings.

High Rolling Affiliates

Let me ask you a question. Do you know the three necessary tools to becoming a high rolling affiliate marketer?

Why are some affiliate marketers more successful than others? If the whole thing is as easy as it has been made to sound, why is it that not all who are in this field are overtly successful?

There must be some special skills that make these successful affiliate marketers successful. We are going to discuss some of the special skills required to be successful in the field of affiliate marketing. Hope it helps you all future affiliate marketers.

The first and the foremost important thing that you must understand is that you need a WEBSITE. And what you must understand is that only having a website won’t do. You need to have a professional looking, user friendly and very catchy website. You need to have a website that may induce your visitors to click on the links to your products and services and that may result in actual sales. So, all your energies must be directed towards developing a quality website.

What you must understand is that most of the users of Internet don’t visit a website to purchase something but to look for quality information. As such it becomes imperative that your website must have quality content which is original as well as relevant. What is more important is that having good content would also ensure high rankings on search engines-a must for increased traffic for your website. That would also ensure that your credibility and reputation would increase and it would surely translate into sales in the long term.

The second thing that you must understand is that we are living in the world of cut throat competition. You should always remain one step ahead of your competitors and for that you need to have people visit your site and what is more they should not just visit your site but to make them click on the links to your products and services that you have to offer. You can have an opt-in email list to have a database of prospective clients. You could also offer newsletters and ezines to your visitors. All these would prove to be incentives to your visitors to induce them to pay attention to what you are offering.

The third thing that you must understand is that you need traffic to your website. It goes without saying that this is the most important factor in the success of any website. You should start by ensuring that your site must have a high ranking in search engines. And since high ranking depends on link popularity, you should carry on an aggressive reciprocal link campaign.

One of the best ways of doing so would be by submitting articles to various sites and ezines with the link of your website at the resource box. The more submission you make the more link popularity you would get. It goes without saying that the articles need to be original, creative and relevant.

It is true that there can be any number of such tools that could be used to be a successful affiliate marketer. It all depends on your own specific requirements and environment.

Taking The Vampire Out Of Online MLM Business Networking

You just got started with a new online MLM business and you want to tell everyone online about it. So, you sign up for all kinds of message boards, email groups and other business networking websites.

Before you do anything, please realize that you are dealing with REAL PEOPLE. The Internet seems like this anonymous place where you might feel people won’t really notice you if you engage in any vampirish behavior, but realize that the Internet is no different than dealing with people offline.

Treat people with respect, get to know them first and you’ll have plenty of valuable contacts for your business. No, most probably won’t join your business opportunity, but they will teach you a lot about business, will refer others to you and will be a great asset to your business – even if they never buy a thing from you.

Some Online Networking No-Nos:

– Sending private messages or emails about your business opportunity or products to another member is in poor taste. If you want to contact someone privately because you feel you have something in common, go for it, but don’t recruit or sell.

– When you introduce yourself on a networking group, it’s usually okay to say what you do…but don’t invite people to check out your website or say that you are looking for new customers or recruits.

– Even if a message board or networking group allows you to post ads in certain places or on certain days, don’t bother if you’re new. Get to know the group first and then they’ll be more interested your offers.

When you have a new business, it can be stressful and you feel pressure to get results. The important thing to remember is that results come from building long-term relationships and not from preying on online networking groups.

Don’t suck the blood out of all your prospects and people who can connect you with potential prospects before you even get started.

Personalized Crafts and Gifts with Embroidery

No matter what the gift giving occasion, a personalized gift always shows the recipient that you took the time to select a special gift just for them. Whether you are attending a birthday party, baby shower, or wedding, a personalized gift shows that you care and that you feel the gift recipient is special. One of the easiest ways to present your recipient with a personalized gift is through personalization with simple embroidery.

What is Embroidery?

Embroidery is the handicraft of decorating fabric with designs stitched with thread or yarn. Embroidery can be done by hand or by a sewing machine. It can also include the addition of beads, quills, pearls, metals, and other objects. Embroidery can be done free-form or with the use of a pattern.

The art of embroidery has been around for thousands of years or longer. People all over the world have been using it to personalize and decorate their garments and home décor for ages. Embroidery is simple to do and allows you the freedom to create some very beautiful works of art.

Personalized Gift Ideas Using Embroidery

Literally anything made of fabric or cloth can easily be embroidered on. You do not have to possess any special skills or “craftiness” to be able to personalize items using embroidery. All you really need is some colorful threads and a needle. If you choose to you can also purchase iron-on transfers of designs or you can free-hand your own design if you want to.

Some of the easiest things to embroider on are clothing and towels. If you will be attending a baby shower, for example, embroidering the name or initials of the new baby onto a towel, blanket, or small onesie makes a perfect gift. It is simple to add blocks or a duck to the design for that extra added touch as well.

One of the best gifts to receive for your wedding is something personalized with your name, your spouse’s name, and the date of your wedding. This can be in the form of a set of guest towels, a simple wall hanging, or even a fabric picture frame to place a wedding photo in. Each of these ideas is easy to make and shows your thoughtfulness to the recipient.

Children love to get gifts with their names on them. Remember back to when you were a child and got a gift of personalized pencils or another item. Personalized gifts are the ones you likely remember the most from your childhood even though they were likely not the most expensive gifts you were given by your loved ones. Fun items to personalize and give to a child include; backpacks, lunch bags, sleeping bags, clothing or even a special beach towel just for them. You can embroider their initials, their name, or even a small motif of one of their interests as well.

The best thing about personalizing a gift with embroidery is that it is quick and simple to do. There are many great books on the subject available for purchase or from your local library. Craft books and magazines are generally loaded with ideas you can adapt for the occasion you will be attending. You can also find patterns online and in your local craft store for just about any occasion or design. And, you can find embroidery threads and yarns anywhere from a craft store to your local drugstore.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with embroidery and come up with your own unique designs. There are no mistakes in embroidery; it is as unique as you and your gift recipients are! If you make a mistake you can easily cut your threads and pull them out. This allows you to start your project again with a clean canvas.

Personalizing your gifts with a bit of embroidery will make your recipient happy and at the same time show them that you went the extra mile to give a gift which is personal and special.

Selling Like Hot Cakes

Do you ever wish you could sell your products like hotcakes?

No problem with that wish. But the biggest problem that you would face would be choosing the right product to promote. You know this can well become your biggest strength if you come out with the best combinations.

There are lots of questions which must be answered before you embark on the path of affiliate marketing. Which product would be best for me? What is the market share of this product? What are the future prospects of this product? Would this product prove to be a flash in the pan or would it last? These are just a few questions related to choosing a product that may satisfy the needs, wants and the expectations of the customers whom we are targeting. So, the first is needs. Needs are the first and foremost requirement of any individual. It is the fundamental requirement of an individual. Then you have to satisfy wants. Yes, wants are the determining factor that induces a consumer to choose a certain product if he has a lot of choices. And then there is the factor of expectations. It is perhaps the most difficult to satisfy. It is the value or the intangible associated with the product. It is a part of wants but it becomes very important when there exists very little product differentiation though.

We can take a real life example. When you purchase a car, what are the things that you look into? Well, the looks of the car, the mileage that it gives, the comfort that you would get driving it and whether it is affordable or not? The same applies to marketing on Internet also. If you have to sell products online, you would have to keep all these things in mind.

The next thing that you must consider is finding products that could be sold like hot cakes. You must understand that you would not just have to satisfy the requirements of your customers but you would have to have a product which your customer would demand. You have to out-compete your competitors and emerge as the leader of that particular segment on which you are concentrating.

The next most important thing that you must consider is that you would have to find out the general interest level about the product. That would allow you to understand the bigger picture regarding the demand and competition scenario. To make it simpler, if there is a product with not much sale and also with very less competition, it is not always a good idea to go for that product. In addition to that you must also understand how others are advertising some particular product. If you find that a number of people promoting a product there might be a good chance that the product is a good one.

Now, the final brush up on all this discussion- if there is not enough demand then it would translate into not enough sales and too much competition means too less profit. Similarly, too much advertising almost always results in driving up the price of pay per click ads and eventually the competition as well. And even if you have competition to push up the sales, but if there is not much general interest and the demand is low, there is major probability that there won’t be much sale.

These were a few points regarding finding the correct products to endorse. Hope it would come handy when you embark with your own affiliate marketing.

Networking Events – Use Your Time Wisely

Networking events provide an effective way to meet and connect with potential clients. What you need to do when you attend these networking events, though, is quickly determine if the person you are talking to is a “sweet spot” client.

Is this person part of your small business target market?

Is he or she a decision maker or influencer?

Does this business have the potential to become a regular, long-term client?

To get these answers you need to work the room at a networking event efficiently and productively.

“Working” A Networking Event

At networking events you want to talk to people that own or manage a small business. These are the people who have potential to become your sweet spot clients. At the very least, the people you talk to at these networking events should work in, or for, a small business

You DON’T want to waste time at networking events talking to people who work for:

Big banks

Fortune 1000 companies

Organizations with large in-house IT departments

Government or non-profits

When you connect with a person who fits the small business criteria, ask some subtle questions to determine if he or she meets the sweet – spot profile. Questions to ask people at networking events include:

What kind of systems do you have?

Do folks use a lot of computers at your office?

Do you have a network?

What kind of network do you have?

How many people are on the network?

The answers to these questions will help you lead the discussion and give you a lot of great insight as to where to go next.

The next step is to determine if you are talking with the appropriate person in the organization. A good question to ask for this purpose is, What kind of systems do you use?” If they can answer the question then you can be fairly certain they are a decision maker or are close enough to the decision maker to be an influencer. Asking these types of questions at networking events helps you determine if you should push further or walk away.

The Bottom Line on Networking Events

Networking events offer a short window to connect with as many potential clients as possible. You want to use your time at these networking events wisely. By asking direct and specific questions you can quickly determine the sweet – spot potential of the people attending the networking event. If there is potential, then follow-up questions to determine if the person you are talking to is a decision maker or influencer are in order. If not, then you can be confident in your decision to say good bye and move on.

Crafting Your Candle Making Business

Making candles can be great fun. Some people choose to take their love of this art and make money doing what they enjoy spending their time on. There are many areas of the candle making business you need to consider before embarking on such an adventure. Knowing how to make quality candles isn’t enough. You need to educate yourself on ways to promote your candles, ordering supplies, offering customer service, and determining a price for your candles.

We all know candles are a very popular item, so the market for such products is out there. However, that market can’t purchase your candles if they don’t know about it. You will need to establish a plan including where you plan to sell your candles, and then come up with a handle of ways to get attention to them. There are many places to sell candles. You can do so from your own home or rent space at craft shows. Often word of mouth will result in orders. You can also choose to advertise on the internet.

Advertising online can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Write about your business on a blog or purchase services from a web hosting company. They often offer excellent tools for setting up a web page and directing traffic to your site. In addition, they provide the shopping cart and even credit card processing for you. Most web hosting companies charge $20 per month, which isn’t a bad investment.

Placing your candles on Ebay or other online auction sites is a great way to generate sales. As you accumulate feedback for selling a quality product you will get more buyers. Before you can do any advertising, you will need to decide what types of candles to sell. You will generate more sells if you show pictures of your work with each type of candle you sell. People buying candles want to visualize the product they are purchasing. Once your business starts turning a profit, consider buying supplies in large quantities to get a discount.

The secret to being a successful candle making business is selling the product at a fair enough price that the consumer will buy it. Yet you also need to cover the cost of your time and supplies, while making a reasonable profit. Don’t be tempted to cut corners on the quality of your supplies as this can greatly alter the quality of your product. Once the word is out that your quality is poor, you will have a hard time maintaining sales.

To generate business, offer promotions. You can offer free shipping for your candle products at the online auction sites to have an advantage over the competition. Many auction surfers will buy a product with free shipping over one with low shipping. You can also offer a free candle with the purchase of three or even to send a personalized card if the buyer is going to use the candle as a gift.

Many successful candle making companies offer personalized service. This means customers can ask for a particular type of candle in a color and you will make it for them. This often costs the customer more, but they are likely willing to pay it. Make sure you communicate well with your customers and know exactly what they want before committing to such a project.

Every business experiences issues that come up. This is to be expected. Customers are likely to be more forgiving of such issues if they are provided with quality customer service. Make sure customers have a way to get into contact with you. Work out a resolution to any issues that you will both be happy with. It is best to outline return policies on your website as well so that there is a place customers can review such information.

Choosing to start your own business is a wonderful and exciting time. Selling your own candles gives you a business where you can be proud of the quality product you are making. Taking the time to learn the basics of the business before jumping in will help ensure this is a fun business venture for you and hopefully one that is going to be quite profitable.

Converting Visitors Into Leads

Converting Visitors Into Leads With Your BLOG

This post is focused on helping you convert visitors into leads. Today, we’ll talk about the importance of understanding your prospects’ journey.

What does this mean?

In order to maximize the value of your traffic, and turn visitors into customers, you need to know everything you can about what led them to you in the first place.

  • What concerns them?
  • What problem do they need solved?
  • What are they most interested in learning?
  • How do they feel you can help them?

Getting into the mind of your buyer makes it all the easier to provide them with a positive experience and ultimately, turn them into a loyal customer.

Whether you are involved in affiliate marketing, or you are selling your own products and services, the starting point is still the same. The more you know and understand your market, the easier it will be for you to maximize conversion rates and gain the trust and loyalty from your target audience.

So, how can you find out everything you need to know about your market?

There are a number of easy ways including polling your audience, researching popular forums and community sites in your niche and even exploring popular blogs in your industry to determine that kind of articles and other content receive the greatest exposure.

Look for user-interaction, especially posts and articles that have received a high number of comments. Quite often, those comments will help guide you towards creating a user experience on your website that will leave potential customers very satisfied.

It’s also a great way to identify potential article topics for your website, as well as future products that you could create based on what is currently in demand.

So, spend some time getting to know the people in your industry. That’s the first step towards your success.

Crafts That Work For Halloween

If there is ever a time of year when the ghosts and goblins roam the streets of the modern world, that time would be Halloween. Today’s ghost and goblins are probably a little more frightening than at any other time in history but they are often tempered by a princess seeking frogs and a few witches and wizards along the way. Halloween is a great day to be a kid but can also be a great day for grown ups as well. Decorating for Halloween can be almost as fun as going out and begging for candy any day of the week.

Besides, having a well decorated home for this holiday gives you the perfect excuse to scare the evil out of some young ghoul or vampire that thinks he or she has the market cornered on frightening. The really cool thing about decorating for Halloween is that it is not one size fits all. You are perfectly free to find some very scary home decorations for this delightful holiday or take on a kinder, gentler, more kid friendly style of decorating. Either decision is yours and yours alone and should carefully monitor the scare-ability of your own children when deciding. You certainly don’t want them afraid to come home.

For a more frightening Halloween scene you will probably want to use some strobe lights, frightening music and sound effects, dry ice in order to incorporate spooky fog, and plenty of spider web type netting in order to give those who dare approach your door bells a complete and thorough case of the willies. Doesn’t this sound like so much fun? Coffins with headless straw men are also a great addition as well as skittering spiders and the occasional chainsaw or two. A glow in the dark hockey mask may also be a good choice. Bodiless heads suspended by fishing wire are also quite the highlight for a true and robust fright.

If your goal is to create a kid friendly Halloween atmosphere there are cheerful pumpkin decorations that can be found in many shapes and sizes as well as Casper the friendly ghost, Frankenstein piñatas, and countless other fun party favors that are designed to bring entertainment and delight rather than terror and far. String pumpkin lights around the porch for added lighting and another friendly face in addition to keeping plenty of candles and lanterns lit nearby. Not all trick or treaters are older kids who appreciate a good scare so keep this in mind as the little ghosts, goblins, princesses, and super heroes arrive.

For adult gatherings all bets are off when it comes to home decorating for Halloween. There are all kinds of themes that can be followed from the incredibly zany and outrageous to the frightening or flamboyant. The biggest suggestion in these matters is to have fun at all times and bring the be the life of the party rather than having the decorations upstage your efforts. Far too many people spend more time concerned with how they will decorate their homes rather than wondering how they will decorate themselves for the festivities. If you find the perfect costumes all eyes will be on you and not your decorations.

Favorite suggestions for adult parties would include strobe lights, much like the frightening scene described above, low additional lights, perhaps black lights near the food and drink area of the party. More dry ice (if tolerable some people have difficulties with the smell particularly those with allergies or asthma so you may want to avoid this inside your home and leave it for the exterior). Bales of hay in the corner make excellent additional seating and can contribute to the harvest/autumn/Halloween atmosphere you are attempting to create. Just remember that the underlying goal is for you and your guests to have a great time. Have good food, good music, and good friends, and the decorations really and truly should be a secondary concern.

Lazer Targeted Traffic

Let me ask you a question….

Do you know the seven simple ways to get laser targeted traffic?

As an affiliate marketer you might have all the tools to be successful-your own drive, a great website and most importantly a great product. But don’t you think that you are missing on to something. The most important thing in any business is customers. Every preparation that you have done and every effort that you have undertaken to have a great product would go in vain if there won’t be visitors to your site. How would the world know that you have the best offers for them? And if you think that ultimately what matters is the product then believe me you are going to get a jolt and that too sooner than later. You need traffic on your site and you need to compete with zillion other fiercely competitive websites to attract traffic.

We are going to discuss seven ways to drive laser targeted traffic to your site so that you may be able to show case your products.

First thing first, understand that you need good rankings on the popular search engines. You need to perfect keywords to attain this top ranking on these search engines. They are the best and the most powerful tool to gain traffic. Ignore them at your own peril.

The second thing that you can do is to collaborate with other webmasters to have a link exchange partnership. You need to locate similar websites to yours and then to communicate to them what you have in mind. It is necessary that other webmasters must feel that they are also to gain by it. Then you can have a reciprocal link exchange.

Having articles with good content on one’s website is a very good way of attracting traffic to ones site. So, the third step that you can take would be to have good quality articles to attract people to your site which could translate into actual sales.

You can also opt for joint venture marketing as a fourth step. Ad swap or link exchange with your partner can be a very effective means of reaching a wide customer base in a relatively short time and it proves beneficial to all the concerned parties.

One of the finest ways of attracting traffic can be through joining affiliate programs. Joining such a program can help you bring heavy traffic to your site and as such you can expect to have increased sales. Consequently, both the affiliates as well as the merchants gain from this. So, this can be our fifth step.

You should also have a list of subscribers who could prove to be potential clients for you. You can make use of auto-responders and personalized newsletters to remain in contact with them. You should also keep them informed about all the new products and services to keep them interested in your website. And this can be the important sixth thing that you can do.

The seventh and the last thing that you can do is to have a thorough understanding of your market. You should have your traffic targeted to those persons who are actually interested in your website. That is how you would be able to create a strong customer base. And once a visit has been made to your site, you should ensure that he or she is properly taken care of.

Why Network Marketing Sucks

On the face of it, network marketing should be very effective. You buy a product, recommend it to all your friends and earn a commission on what they buy. This ‘word-of-mouth’ advertising is what the big TV advertisers most fear: your product endorsement to your friends actually carries much more clout than an expensive tele-ad.

So, you earn a few pennies or bucks on each sale. But the big money comes (or is supposed to) when you recruit your friend to do as you have done – to recommend the product to all their friends – and recruit them into the network, too. And you get a few bucks on their sales, and as your network grows exponentially, so does your income. So why doesn’t it work? Why do 97% of network marketers fail?

There are two main answers. First, the compensation plan. To earn anything at all you have to shift product. Suppose that you get $1 on average for each order that flows through your downline. That means that you and your team have to make 100 sales to make you $100. That’s not much. To live the life you dreamed of, to give up your day-job, to spend more time with your family, to pay off your mortgage and car loan and credit-card debts, you’re probably going to need $500,000 (at least!) At $1 a pop it’s going to take you a long, long time.

Which is where the ‘recruitment’ part of the business comes in. If only you could recruit enough people into your team you could shift all that product and get rich. But you’ve run out of friends, and anyway, most of them don’t want to know or are lousy at networking. So this is the second reason why network marketers fail. To expand your downline you have to go out and recruit strangers. And most people hate doing this. It’s difficult, demoralizing and exhausting. So 97 networkers out of 100 give up and fail. The dream withers and dies.

So what’s the answer?

Making a fortune $1 at a time is not the way to go. And cold-calling strangers is about as much fun as pulling your own teeth.

Just forget about the traditional network marketing model: instead look at it from a tycoon’s point of view. You’ll make more money for less effort if you sell a big ticket item. Instead of making $1 profit per sale, why not make $500? And if selling to strangers gives you a pain in the head, why not delegate? Pass the job over to the experts and let them do all the schmoozing, selling and closing. This is what I do and you could do the same.

You can operate this system from anywhere in the world from behind your computer screen. This is not a pyramid, neither is it MLM. And you can do it even if you are a complete and out-and-out introvert.

Decorating Tool of Champion Craft Addicts

We all know intellectually that color can have a significant impact on any room in the home. However, knowing and seeing the truth in action are two entirely different things. The true impact of color on the overall look and feel of a room is nothing short of phenomenal. If you have any doubt, try painting a room in a color you do not like and see how little time you are willing to spend in that room-even if it was a favorite room before it was painted.

For this reason you need to consider carefully the combinations of colors you wish to incorporate into each room of your home and how these colors will affect the rooms they will be ‘overflowing’ into. It is true that most people are attempting to trend away from the idea of having the same color in every room of the house. Instead more people are opting to have every room as a fresh palate whenever possible. This allows for maximum options when it comes to decorating a home and allows each room to be similar to some degree but maintain its very own unique personality if that is your wish.

Paint is an amazing instrument for home decorating when you think about it. In addition to the ability to change the color of a room, paint can actually do so much more when artfully or craftily applied. You can create beautiful murals on your walls that tell stories about your family or simply that express an emotion or sentiment of the moment. Paint can be used in order to write messages to occupants of the home or visitors on the wall as well, or to stencil borders that are sure to delight all who enter. All of this and so much more can be accomplished with the simple application of paint and a little bit of skill.

In addition to these things above there are faux finishes and textures that can be created with the use of paint. One that is a current favorite on the market is a faux plaster affect that is achieved with paint, a lot of hard work, and a rock solid set of instructions. The result of this labor can be nothing short of stunning as a design or home decorating affect. Taking the time to learn skills such as this can not only improve your enjoyment of the painting process but putting these skills in action can greatly improve your enjoyment of your home.

In addition to the faux finishes that can be achieved with paint there are other textured paint affects that many people are learning to their great joy and amazement. The results of many of these efforts is a beautiful and tastefully decorated home at significantly less than half the cost that hiring a professional to do the work would have cost. Many of these things can be achieved with paint and a few special brushes or rags alone further indicating the profound affect that a can or two of paint really can have on almost any room in your home.

If you are inclined to learn a little more about paint and the impact it can have on your home all together check with your local home improvement store and see if they are offering any painting workshops in the near future. These workshops provide excellent instruction and information that will prove useful many times over while you are making your home decorating decisions and improvements.

Landing Pages – Why You Need Them

You are a merchant with good products. You have signed up with Google AdSense or any such affiliate marketing programs. You have also spent money on creating ads and banners to be posted on your affiliate’s site. So, now you are on the path to be the next big rage on the net or are you forgetting something? Have you thought about landing pages? And if your next question is going to be what are landing pages, then I would seriously tell you to re-evaluate your strategies.

Landing pages are the web pages where your affiliates would direct the traffic. This translates into the web page where you would want your potential customers to land. Generally, you would find that these landing pages can be similar to general web pages more so if the site turns out to be an ecommerce site.

There are many merchants who use their homepages as their landing pages. So are they doing the right thing or should they be doing something different like having landing pages? We are going to talk about the rationale behind having landing pages for your ads.

First thing first, what is the whole system of affiliate marketing? The affiliates direct the traffic to your site by inducing the visitor to their site click on the links connecting to your site. Most of the affiliate programs enable them to earn per click. And what do you get out of it? Well the only way you can earn is through the conversion of the traffic to actual sales.

Otherwise you would just end up paying your affiliates without earning a dime. Now, here lies the whole logic behind having landing pages for your potential customers. You want to convert that traffic to actual sales and for that you would have to direct them to pages which could induce them to make purchases and your general web pages are ill-equipped for that. So, if you don’t want to land up just paying your affiliates without earning anything, do pay good attention to your landing pages.

There are many merchants out there who think that their homepage or a contact page is enough for their potential customers but if you really want to make a mark, you would do well to understand that these pages are not enough. First of all these pages are not just exclusively meant for the targeted customers and would also contain contents irrelevant to your purpose of inducing your visitor to make a purchase. That is why it becomes imperative for you to have landing pages relevant to your web ads. The landing pages must have all the keywords and all the relevant details to make any visitor tempted to make a purchase or at least become a lead.

So, if you don’t have a landing page for your web ads, do get it developed and that landing page should like a landing page.

Thus, pay all attention to make it rocking!
