MY JOURNEY

We moved down to where I live now so that I could die. Every Year I got worse. I am a Type 1 Diabetic. I got a phone call from the Dr on a SAT he told me to go in NOW. I went in and he talked about kidney transplants and making sure that i had everything in order because life was going to get bad.

I told my Girlfriend at the time, she phoned her mum and the next day her mum explained to us that we were getting married and it was happening in 3 months.

Then my diabetes got worse and I had to stop working, we got a call from her mum again and we moved down to the Isle of Wight. The thought process was if and when James dies, it’s important that you have family around you.

We live on the Isle of Wight. Diabetes took it’s toll and each review destroyed me a bit more.

One day my daughter came back from school, she was in a crazy temper, This was my sweet little baby girl, she was 5 at the time. My biggest fear came true, She was Diagnosed that day with Type 1 Diabetes.

You can imagine the guilt, the depression and the fear. My daughter and I grew apart because of it, I got angry and very low. BUT I had to change, this was no longer my problem and I didn’t want her to go down the route I was in.

I went on the X-PERT Diabetes Course. My Diet changed then, my insulin changed then, I changed, but it wasn’t enough, i was still having bad reviews every 6 months.

I didn’t know what to do to help me. I went down to the Chemist and looked at their Supplements. They were in the range of £30 up to £150. They were Tablets, shakes and silly meal plans, I didn’t want that. Then a friend said TRY THIS, #slimroast, and i said NO. He was on it from March 2015, Eventually after seeing his results i gave in. Not to get on the program but to shut him up.

In August 2015 I started on SlimRoast Coffee. I had just had my diabetic review 2 months before and it was bad. My next review was in Dec 2015. The Nurse was in shock, my control was brilliant but not perfect, my HBA1c was going down, something it hadn’t done ever. I was awake and more alert.

MY DAUGHTER MY REASON

My Daughter who has Type 1 as well. She is now 12 years old, she was the TOP of all her SPORTS Classes in primary school, she is now in Secondary school and hitting teenage years, so its going to be a challenge.

I never got into Valentus as a business. It wasn’t meant to be. BUT it changed my life so much so that now I actually have one. Not only that I have a Future to work towards and create. Valentus is doing that for me and allowing me the freedom to do it.
